Chronos Prophecies - The Rise of the Telepaths by Tom Ciolli

In the year 2133, a group of commandos discover that their genes were selectively bred for a thousand years to develop them into a race of super telepaths. When their aircraft crashes on a continent populated by numerous dinosaur like species, Zach Murphy and his group are forced to trek by foot through a continent abandoned by the planet’s native humanoid species. In their travels, they find that they have the ability to open an impenetrable pyramid sealed for over ten thousand years, and, once they do, they are astonished by the technologies now at their control. The book describes the process of unlocking the team’s potential as they discover that they have the innate skills to perform unimaginable feats with the alien artifacts at their disposal.

This was an entertaining book. It's a quick read with plenty of action. Although it is the 2nd in a series, it can pretty much stand alone, and the author does a good job of explaining what you need to know in order to be able to easily follow the plot. The characters were interesting and easy to relate to. I enjoyed reading it and will definitely read the next one in the series when it comes out.
