Though originally penned in 1850, the exhortations, challenges, and reproofs James presents are as relevant today as ever before. Aptly summed, James concludes: "What is wanted and all that is wanted, under Gods blessing, for the worlds conversion to Christ, is an earnest ministry, and an earnest church."
Placing the responsibility on all who proclaim Christ as Lord, James encourages every member of the body of Christ to labor with zeal for the mission of God. The harvest is ripe, but the laborers are few. This is a clear call to the laborers.
