I purchased this book for my daughter who is into the Princesses. She liked the idea of having the nook book of Cinderella. Because you cannot preview this book before purchasing I had no idea they use the word "ugly" to describe the step-sisters. I had to ask my daughter to turn the book off, because I do not think at 3 years old the word ugly should be part of their vocabulary, especially as an adjective describing another person. Just not a kind book, do not recommend - wish I cold get my money back.

Aside from the word ugly being way over used, the story is just not told well at all. There is no way the writer put any thought into the book.

Buying this book and expecting a "lesson", then get upset because they use a word you are touchy about? Get real.

The water color illustrations are beautiful, and that is about the only nice thing in this nook edition. How we forget the origins of mean girl culture!
