"'Cinematic Royalty' & 'Dark Hollywood Nights'" brings us back to the late 1940's, alternately guiding us through the hopeful effervescence of a post-war nation and exploring the dark underside of the Los Angeles elite.

The beautiful Winmont Hotel plays home to both novellas, providing the perfect, enduring backdrop for these two topsy-turvy spins through the lives intertwined within it. We are introduced to the Winmont's charismatic owner, Charles Witmore, his assistant and protege, Alexis Grant, imperturbable private investigator Chase Branton, and notorious silver screen starlet Bridget Phillips. With a troupe of equally vivacious supporting characters, Isabelle Santiago has crafted a world in which love, mystery and glamour become extraordinarily real and approachable. Her characters breathe freely, true to their natures; they are instantly alive and lovable, commanding affection from the start.

Having read Ms. Santiago's first novella, 'Cinematic Royalty,' when it was published as an eBook, I was thrilled for this release, and I was far from disappointed! These are stories that will stay with you long after you've finished reading them; for days, you will find yourself casting quick, sidelong glances at that stranger in the corner of your favorite coffee shop, maybe wishing you had a fuller skirt this morning or a hat with a wider brim; you will be looking for those little ways of bringing that mid-century glamour into your day, and you'll be thinking of Charles or Bridget, Chase or Lexi while you do it.

This is a truly wonderful ride. Way to go, Isabelle!
