Revised, extended cut. Epic fantasy. An Ancient Darkness, one that has been held at bay for centuries, is emerging. The Living Light is fading and the world of Våleira is dying. Arlethia stands alone in the face of near-certain defeat, where betrayal seems the hallmark of civilization.

Phenomenal. Just awesome. This expanded version is so much more rich and in-depth. Everything someone could want in epic fantasy is here without being cliche. I think this is the first book by the author, and it's a home run. My wife and I were totally transported by the language, the characters, the depth of the story. Also, the book has very minor language and is YA safe, though the level of writing and violence I would say is not YA. Those who love Sanderson, Rothfuss, Butcher, and Campbell will love Cooper.
Circle of Reign is a very unique and interesting Science Fiction story. Jacob Cooper has created a fresh new world with characters that are different and unlike those in many of the other sci-fi novels of today. He has very imaginative and well-developed plots and I loved the characters, especially Reign. The great care and detail that Cooper goes into while describing the realms, animals, and the characters themselves is amazing and I could truly picture everything in my mind. With 600 pages I was scared it would drag on and I would lose interest but I had a hard time putting it down! I am glad that "Circle of Reign" is only the first installment in this trilogy because I cannot wait to read more. I would not be surprised if the book is picked up and made into an Epic movie series!!! I would recommend any and every science fiction buff should grab a copy of this book and I bet you won't be disappointed. I received a free copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.
