With 17 projects for quilts, you will be busy for many, many months to come. If you are a Civil War fabric lover, you will be doubly happy as this book is designed with those fabrics in mind. Now for me, I will immediately update the quilts by using fabrics more suited to my tastes but the patterns are fabulous. Each starts out with a paragraph about it and is then followed by materials and cutting lists. There are tips set off in a box. Graphics are scattered among the written instructions to help keep you on the straight and narrow so you won’t have to use the dreaded seam ripper. No specific quilting designs are suggested. If you are looking for a new quilt to make, this book will provide you with 17 ideas.
