“I am a Lokoti Werewolf.”
-- “Oh, is that a name for an ice hockey team, or something?”

Career woman Jessica Tandy, has a rest stop in a tiny town called Alma, in the Alaska Range. Coming back from the ‘camping trip from hell’, with a cold and obnoxious boyfriend; she meets Flint Riverclaw, a Native Alaskan. The handsome stranger sees she’s unwell with her diabetes and insists on shouting her food and drink.

He offers to take her to Anchorage, since her boyfriend who’s driving, has been drinking beer. Jessica accepts and the two continue to become acquainted, during the journey. Flint’s strong build, handsome features and kindness wins her over, so much so, she invites him into her hotel room. Although there are moments where he growled, his teeth felt sharp or she could have sworn his eyes glowed turquoise; Jessica rates it as her best sexual experience.

The next morning, she tiptoes out when he’s still asleep, to catch her flight back to Seattle. However, she can’t get the man out of her mind as her body won’t stop shaking. She’s shocked three days later when out of the blue, Flint shows up at her apartment to tell her two things; he is a Lokoti Werewolf and she is his pregnant mate.

Alrighty then...... I have not read this book yet. However, I have read the reviews. I'm very disappointed that so many of you negative critics are complaining about the author's choice of vocabulary, spelling, grammar, etc. If you have time to write a (negative) review, perhaps you could take time to look up the author, which happens to be Australians. Of course their verbage, spelling, grammar is different from ours (USA). Which many of the freebies are from Australian authors. Take time to look up the author before you critique. Afterall, it was free. Now I will read this book and then review the story.

The storyline actually had great potential but this struck me more as a storyboard write up to see if the concept would work instead of a finished piece. If time were taken to flesh out the characters and add in some color then this could be the basis for a great series.

I love it! It was sooo good! Yes it used weird words and was fast but that was easy to over look! It was sooo cute! It was only 198 pages, i think everyone should read it!

I wanted to like this story but I just couldn't. The writing was really rough and seems more like a rough draft than a published piece. There was all that "I could smell it." That pulled me right out of the story and made me wonder why Flint was saying that. Then there's Jessica. My god, what an idiot! I didn't like either of the main characters. Jessica was whiny and annoying and accepted things far too easily. Flint was smug and perfect - the only mistake he made was arriving a bit too late to catch a plane. I did find the take on werewolves to be interesting, and I would give another story in this world a chance. That said, this storybreallybcould use an editor's touch.

This definitely could have been a longer and more in depth story. I really liked it and thought it ended way too soon!!! I'm hoping more will be written about the Lokoti Werewolves!!!

I think the seond is coming out soon or already out. Reading is suppose o be fun, so don't get caught up in the spelling or grammer. If you read to edit than your not reading to enjoy, your reading to edit a book .

It's a good story, but the writing needs a lot of work. Somebody should have taken the time to edit the book before publishing it. The story would be much better with corrected spelling and english, as well as some rearraingement to make it read better.

I really wanted to like this as it seemed to have a decent storyline and a likeable hero/male lead but the female lead made it impossible. She's whines and "speaks" as if she's 14, not 29. Words like "whilst" (as well as a few others) were very distracting to the flow of the story. Its a shame that such a sexy and likable character like Flint was wasted with Jessica and silly writing.

When reading this book it read like a teenager had written it. The story line was okay but had no action. The main chacter came off as prissy and and had little personality. The main chacter was an "Oh pitty pretty little me" type. The author gave up in the end just to finish the story line. It wasn't a complete waste.

The character's name is Jessica Tandy? Really? No one else noticed this detail? If not google the name, and tell me if you want to read it as "erotica". Turned off before I even read the first word. Disappointed.

I have read books like this before. If you like this type of books try some of the ones by nicky charles. They are free for nooks and kindles.

While this is a short read, it was a waste of time.  The author should invest in an editor.  Overuse and incorrect use of commas and question marks pepper this novella.  While I understand that the author is not American, she may want to learn American lingo if her target audience is American...  The word "whilst" was so overused, I cringed every time I read it.  If you're looking for a good werewolf read, check out Nicky Charles' series (The Mating, The Finding, The Keeping, Bonded).  These are free for Nook, but after the first one, I would have paid for the rest of the series.

Started out ok then turned into erotica. Some parts fairly well written ( if you can follow the plot through a sea of misused punctuation)) then sudden shifts in time. I agree wirh other reviewers it reads like a draft. Some point out it was free and you get what you pay for. This was my first free book and doubt I will read any others. I'd rather spend my tine on something worthwhile.

I enjoyed reading this book,. The author went into some depth describing the tribe and their beliefs. I found it a little disappointing that Jessica and her friends were shallow enough to think money and job titles were so important. REALLY liked Flint, he had it together, and knew what his priorities in life should be and were. FVL

Good storyline. The ending leaves you wanting more. This book is an easy, short story read. I would be interested in reading another of this authors work.
