Claiming His Tease (Club Rack and Ruin, #1) by Amy Valenti

Sometimes switching doesn't come easily...

Lena is a switch – seventy percent Domme, thirty percent sub. When she’s forced to give up her seat to a more Dominant man on Rack and Ruin’s opening night, she resolves never to submit to him, on principle. The trouble is, she really, really wants to...

Josh is all Dom and sexy as hell, and he’s prepared to wait for Lena to come to him. All she has to do is kneel at his feet, and she’ll be his. But is she too stubborn to give him the satisfaction?

To complicate matters further, their charged little game has drawn the curiosity of most of the club’s regulars. All eyes are upon them, which makes Lena all the more determined not to submit.

As the months wear on, the bond between Lena and Josh deepens as the sexual tension reaches new heights – but can their almost-relationship survive the challenges thrown their way?

This book is 25,000 words approx and was previously named 'Little Tease'.

About the Author

About the Stories…

Just what is it about bondage, pain-play and barked commands that make a submissive fall to her knees? Amy Valenti is captivated by the Dominance and submission dynamic, and her books mainly feature growly, Dominant men with feisty yet submissive women. Occasionally she likes to write about hot Dom-on-Domme action and ménage involving two Dominant partners with one lucky female sub.

Safe, sane and consensual BDSM is important to her, and she tries to balance out the intense scenes in her books with some tender, loving aftercare.

About the Author…

Amy Valenti attained ‘crazy cat lady’ status at four years old, but took a little longer to get to the ‘published author’ stage, which was her other goal in life. Now in her late twenties, she tries to minimise the number of cats she puts into her erotic romance stories, but more than one has slipped into a character’s home while her back’s been turned. After all, the ultimate test of a man’s worth is what his new partner’s pets think of him…

Cats aside, Amy enjoys writing about intelligent female characters who know themselves and their desires. She’s been fascinated by sex, relationship and power-play dynamics for many years, and experiments with different sub-genres under the overarching category of BDSM, concentrating on Domination and submission romance in particular.

She also writes vanilla lesbian erotica (without the romance!) under the pseudonym Sidonie Spice.

I really enjoyed this book. It's wasn't just about sex, and telling someone to do something and they followed you blindly. It was well written, and I can't wait to read the next in line. I'm looking forward to more stories from this author!

Lena is a submissive at heart in the D/s world but does switch given that in her daily life, she doesn’t have a submissive bone in her body. She is seeking a D/s relationship so when Josh enters their world and seems to push all of Lena’s buttons. There is a great back and forth as Lena fights her attraction to Josh but when she finally gives in, their relationship is explosive and oh so much fun to experience.

I loved the cat and mouse play between the H/h. The back and forth bantering as well as the pursuit and retreat by both characters was well done. Josh is the perfect Dom. He is hyper focused on Lena. Her reactions, her needs and desires are paramount to him. Lena has been wounded by the past and has some incredibly thick walls for him to navigate. I loved that she while she had been hurt deeply in her past that was not the main aspect of who she is.  Lena is shown to be smart, self assured in most things and incredibly stubborn. Each encounter between Josh and Lena occurs biweekly and stretches over eight months. That’s dedication! While the story is told in switching points of view between the two, it is done so well that it only enhances the story. When these two finally come together it’s a wonderful conclusion. Adult read

I received an ARC of Claiming His Tease as part of the Club Alpha Anthology. As with all of Amy Valenti's books, Claiming His Tease is a well-written story that keeps you interested from the very first page to the very end. the characters are interesting, the story packed with sexual tension. Can't wait to read more of the Club Rack and Ruin series.
