I will happily read everything ever written about Jessie. This is such a different take on demons and vampires. I can't say as I've read anything quite like it before. There's a bit of a horror/thriller vibe that's been perfectly paired with a paranormal romance to produce a story that kept me glued to the pages. I love that even though Jessie, Drake, and Jeremy are powerful entities they have vulnerabilities too. They're going up against a foe that could genuinely defeat them if they don't use their brains and abilities and work together. And the dynamic between the three of them is so much fun to watch. I'm not usually a fan of triangles, but this one kept me highly entertained. I received a complimentary copy of this book.

Claiming the Evil Dead pulled me in from the beginning and didn't let go. It's well-written, and the characters are developed and interesting. While this is a PNR, I also found suspense, intrigue, and lots of plot twists. I felt as confused as Jessie while she's figuring out whom she can trust. The only fault that I can find is with some of the over the top details. Some descriptions got a bit wordy, but that didn't take away from the story for me, and it was a quite enjoyable read. I can't wait to see what happens next. I voluntarily reviewed and ARC of this book.

I chose to leave a review for the ARC I received Claiming The Evil Dead. Danger, hot sex, adventure.... everything needed for a great story! Jessie the paranormal investigator and Drake the vampire are searching to take out a child abusing evil vampire. The books detail gives just the right amount to where you can picture everything. Did I mention it's not just Drake and Jessie heating the pages up, a demon wants a part in Jessie's life too! Will sneaky sneaky Drake let that happen? Mary Abshire spins this story wonderfully and most definitely excites me waiting for more!

I received this book from the author in exchange for an honest review. No matter your initial thoughts when reading the first chapter - stick with it! The first couple of sentences I was intrigued, but wasn't so sure this was the book for me. I am so glad I stuck with it. It just got better and better, Paranormal - check, evil - check, angst - check, passion - check. I am looking forward to more twists and turns as the series continues. I like the fact that I could get involved and care about the characters. Definitely worth the read!!
