This is an invaluable book to understanding what works in education reform and what's been stopping us from getting there more quickly. It also leaves one hopeful that the tide may be turning from the stalemate that has been the status quo for the past few decades. Brill also writes in a very lively style -- this isn't some boring and dry text, but a real page turner that can make it hard to put down.

The author has captured well the many issues swirling around the improvement efforts in educational reform in a very readable book. As a retired educator, I think all teachers and administrators should add this book to their must-read list.

A buff tall black haired teen walked in. He had on full camo with a knife jacket and an ak47. He had a glock on his holster on his belt and he had army boots on.
