I was in high school in the early 70's when this was required reading in class. I was not an advert reader at this time but in order to pass this class I had to read this book, and a big part of my grade depended on finishing it and getting a good grade to pass English class. I kept re-reading each chapter to try to understand what the author was saying and some 30 years later I can truly say It was this book that gave me my love of reading. It's one of the hardest book to read and understand but well worth it To this day I can recite it by heart an aced the test!
