Reviewed March 2001 Very entertaining. short chapters easy to read. I had heard some of the stories before, but most were new and entertaining. I found the chapter on the California missions to be a bit patronizing towards the Catholics. The author alludes to many rumors that are very far fetched with little facts to base it on. I guess thats why they are called ¿tales¿. 4-2001
