About the Author

Sibel Edmonds is the editor of Boiling Frogs Post and founder- director of the National Security Whistleblowers Coalition. She is the recipient of the 2006 PEN/Newman's Own First Amendment Award. Ms. Edmonds worked as a language specialist for the FBI where she reported serious acts of security breaches and cover-ups, and for that she was retaliated against and ultimately fired. Court proceedings were blocked by the assertion of the State Secrets Privilege, and the U.S. Congress has been gagged and prevented from taking up or even discussing her case through retroactive classification issued by the Department of Justice. Ms. Edmonds has an MA in Public Policy from George Mason University and a BA in Criminal Justice and Psychology from George Washington University.

I heard and read a lot about Sibel Edmonds during the Bush II years, and when I stumbled upon her blog I subscribed. Her story is a moving and riveting one, and all of us owe her a tremendous debt for her perseverance and sacrifice in the face of crushing opposition. If you want to know how far down the bipartisan rabbit hole we've climbed, then read this book.

This is both a very infuriating and inspiring memoir. It's infuriating because of what it reveals about the deep culture of corruption and cover-up within the FBI and ultimately all branches of the US government and both ruling parties. This culture facilitates the infiltration of the US government by foreign criminal organizations and was partly responsible for facilitating the 9/11 terrorist attacks. But it is also the uplifting story of one brave woman's fight against this culture aided by her husband and a handful of supporters. Sibel Edmonds is a true American patriot though born and raised overseas. No, she doesn't win in the end. This is the real world and the fight goes on and she's still in it. I've added her "Boiling Frogs" website to my favorites. Go Sibel!

I found this information to be extremely interesting. This woman has really got to have nerves of steel to put up with what she describes. If this is truly the way our governmental departments operate we should all be very concerned and outraged at the same time.

Classified Woman is one of those occasional books I pick up to start reading and can't put down! Ms. Edmonds has done a stellar job sharing her experiences with us, with jaw dropping, head shaking fact's some people would probably prefer not to know. I have been in similar situations which I used to call Corporate Kindercare, also known as "Management" where each day avails new levels of the common sense stretch... I'd be more specific , but prefer not to spoil it for those who have not yet read "Classified Woman" ~kmw

A must read for everyone.

The particular national security malfeasances she brought to light are intriguing enough, but most revealing are the extraordinary measures taken by or subscribed to by all three branches of government, in the attempt to squelch and discredit Ms. Edmonds and other verifiable sources, even official ones.
