What I like: I have read this book to my boys so many time I have it memorized, and I'm still not tired of it - that must mean it is a good book. This is an introductory book to Emily Elizabeth and her big red dog Clifford. What I do not like: nothing - the book is great.Recommendation: Every public library should have at least one Clifford book. I would buy this book for my library (medium public library).

My grandson loves to look at the big colorful pictures and listen to me reading. Though he is only 20 months, this book holds his attention.

Our little 11 mo old loves dogs and we recently introduced her to Clifford on PBS. Although she is too young for us to read the story to her, she does really enjoy the pictures in this book.

My daughter loves the Clifford cartoon on tv so it was only fitting that we couldn't leave the store without this book. Easily read and bright colors keep this book entertaining and fun.

Great for first book; colors attract babies attention easily. We read it almost everyday.

I got this book for my 1 yr old daughter. I like it because the texts are short and I can read them at my daughter's turning pages pace.

The simple text and large, colorful graphics of this book really appeal to toddlers. On each two-page spread, there's a drawing that features Clifford hiding, plus text that describes two items in the picture, then asks the child to point out Clifford. Once you've read the story to your child a few times, he or she will start pointing to Clifford at the right points in the story. My 19-month-old twins love doing this. (I'm going to order a second copy of the book from Barnes and Noble, since the first copy is getting worn out from so much use!)
