About the Author

I live in the Great Lakes state with my husband, three rambunctious children and two barking Beagles (I suppose that is redundant.) When not suffering the woes of potty training three toddler/preschoolers, I enjoy reading, running (sometimes it's fleeing the craziness at home), reconstructing clothing, thrift store shopping, and surfing (I spend way too much time there and am getting all kinds of exciting ideas for projects for my hus-band to do. He is less than thrilled by this.)

I love writing romance because I enjoy stories where everything works out all right in the end and the main characters have a happily ever after. My stories are set in small towns with quirky characters that take on a life of their own.

Another heartfelt story from Ms. Vaughn. I loved Climbing Heartbreak Hill because the characters were so flawed and so real. You couldn't help but empathize with Tara and Ryan as they struggled to overcome obstacles both physical and emotional. Their attraction and the subtle sexual tension was beautifully done with top-notch writing. This is a sweet story, so no sex, but the chemistry of the hero and heroine was as hot as any explicit scene. And they liked each other, too! The supporting characters and the suspenseful plot gave the book depth, humor and a reality. I felt like I was a fly on the wall of Tara's accounting firm. Once again, Ms. Vaughn spins a tale that will have you staying up much too late just to read another chapter. Bravo! Don't miss this one.

This is a fun read for anyone. The characters and story are relatable, especially to any athlete who has had an injury. My husband ran the Boston Marathon this year and it was fun reading a story about Heartbreak Hill.
