Ohhh, what a bitter-sweet story. It's funny and serious at the same time. I really loved it. Nice one!

I was going to give this story a 4-star, but I changed my mind. Honestly, I enjoyed it maybe because it was different. I would normally expect something specific or scary when I see a title like *closed door* so I was surprised to see that the story was far from my imagination. Apart from the death, which I didn't see coming, (I even hoped it was a dream), every other thing was nice. I went on smashwords'  after I read this one and I saw it was tagged as *teen*, so a sophomoric plot shouldn't be a surprise. I'm going for the next one...hope it's as nice as this one.

Closed Door is a short story that I read basically in one sitting. It's fast paced, intriguing and an ingenious mystery with a revealing and surprising end. It leaves you curious to know what will happen next, with a good cliffhanger. The family portrayed seems at most times to be dysfunctional, maybe it was the author's intention, in order to insert more intrigue and mystery into the story. The mother's apparent insensitivity to the situation and almost childlike behavior maybe clues into the development of a more psychological side for a follow up. I'm curious to find out what happens in the next installation. Overall, great imagination and plot.

I got an opportunity to read the 2nd and 3rd parts of this story, and I enjoyed them. I also look forward to reading the consequent parts. I don't understand when reviewers say 8/10pages is too long or short. How long/short do you expect a short story to be? To one of the anonymous reviewers, how about 'reviewing' and not 'insulting'? Just saying...

Absolutely loved and enjoyed Closed Door. It's captivating and one of those "I can't stop until I finish" books. Great plot; lots of surprises. Can't wait to read the sequel. C.M. Okonkwo never disappoints.

Interesting, Funny? Hardly! 10 page short story, with a very stupid ending, if you would even call it that. No, you don't see it coming, but that is precisely the point. It does't build up to anything and then "bam", right out of nowhere, is this really simple, lame emding. Boring!
