Scarred mentally and physical from his time in the service, Liam Roger’s job at Southerland Security helped him find his way back to a world he thought he lost. He’s starting to live again—maybe even find some happiness. Until he gets stuck on the farm of crunchy granola eater Andy Stuart who pushes all his buttons in the right order. The hot little tree hugger might be exactly what his body wants, but his brain knows better.
Andy’s done a lifetime of things she’s not proud of, and running the farm for veterans is her way of trying to atone. She’ll give it everything she’s got but she has no intention of giving the hulking former marine who’s parked himself in the middle of her peaceful kingdom anything. If he wakes up feelings she thought she’d long buried, she’ll figure out how to cover them again.
With fields of secrets between them and their pasts coming home to roost, there’s more pushing them apart than holding them together. Only one thing is sure…
Two wrongs have never been this hot.

I always fall for the heroes in this author's books, but there's something special and vulnerable about Liam. He may be a big hulk of a man, but he has a tender spot when it comes to his friends from the service and also when it comes to Andy. I love that vulnerability because it makes him human. When Liam is told to make himself scarce before a trial revolving around a dangerous criminal he helped to bring to justice, he heads out to Andy's (Andrea) farm to see a veteran he served with overseas. Her farm houses veterans with PTSD and other disabilities, assisting them in their return to civilian society. Liam's friend, Jake, is having an especially difficult time, and Liam is there to help. One thing he didn't count on, though, was the owner to be a beautiful woman who haunts his dreams. She has her secrets that she tries to hide along with her attraction to the man who has come to help with one of the men living on her farm. Of course, nothing is easy, and chaos ensues, putting everyone in danger of more than just losing their hearts. The author's Southerland Security series is turning out to be one of my favorites. These alpha males are not only the best at their jobs, but they each have thick walls around their hearts that always take the most persistent of women to break through. Ms Adams always throws in humor along with the heartfelt moments that make up her stories. Her characters' back stories are relevant and each minor character is an important key to the story. She had delivered another successful heated romance that leaves you sated and looking forward to the next one.
I love books that are in a series and follow a family. This is a good read in continuation with the same family,
I am thoroughly enjoying the Southerland Security series and this latest book is no exception. Liam works for Southerland Security and has been dealing with physical and emotional scars from his time in the service. When he’s forced to take a vacation, he goes to check on Jeff, another veteran who is dealing with his own issues and is living and working on a farm. The farm is owned by Andy, who Liam assumes is a man (wrong!) and has several other people there who have had things in their past they have to deal with. Untrusting at first, Liam stays at the farm to help Jeff and investigate what the farm and Andy are all about. It’s a great story, with the bonus of bringing out the issues many of our veterans are dealing with. This is my favorite of the series!!!
