DJ Tiësto's got the glittery side of Miami down pat on this volume of his city-focused series Club Life. The Tiësto and Wolfgang Gartner cut "We Own the Night" chants "If it feels good, do it!" while the Naked & Famous' "Young Blood" is total youthful exuberance, which, along with all the sunshine and light elsewhere, adds up to beach balls on the dancefloor and some true Miami heat. Coldplay's sweet and lovely "Paradise" and Gotye's huge breakup hit "Somebody That I Used to Know" get the Tiësto remix treatment, both now pumped-up to gigantic floor-fillers that go "bling" and "bang," making their heartfelt bits ignorable if needed. Trance still plays a minor role with some blissful production and the occasional airy vocal, but kudos to the DJ for keeping the overall feel so Miami and moneyed, making this the Tiësto mix CD to pick for summertime or any time you take your talents to South Beach.
