This book is so informative and clearly defines the role of coaching vs counseling. Everyone in either field would really benefit from it.
Just as the title says, this book serves as a very practical guide to coaching from a Christian leadership perspective. I've read a pre-released copy from a friend and plan to use it with all of the leaders in my church. In a very readable style, the book lays out what coaching is (and is not), what makes Christian coaching unique and, the skills needed and how to use coaching in leadership and congregational settings. A number of appendices are included and are very valuable. Outstanding book!!
From the review copy that a friend gave me, I took away a great understanding of what coaching is, the skills involved and the Christian basis for coaching those around me. Miller and Hall have done a wonderful job providing real-life narratives and tying in great coaching questions at the end of each chapter. The book is very readable, very useful and very needed.
