Coastal Spirit by Lindsay Marie Miller is the third book in her Stranded in Paradise Series, and this series just keeps getting better and better. Coastal Spirit takes up right where book 2, Island Smile, leaves off. Following the conclusion of Henry and Elaine, where they find themselves still in the sights of a ruthless hunter. When newcomers arrive on the island, Elaine is again kidnapped and it is up to Henry to save his wife and finish what was started in book one with this madman. Who will make it off the island? Henry and Elaine or will the madman win once and for all? Will Elaine be able to deal with the loss of Jade or will that hurt be the key to the downfall of her and Henry? The safety of everyone on the island is going to rest of the shoulders of Elaine and Henry’s love for each other and ingenuity. The hunt for treasure, secrets, and fighting for the love of life, this installment has a little something for every type of reader. Each character will have to look deep inside themselves to both the good and bad parts in order to survive the twists and turns of this cataclysmic ending to Stranded in Paradise. Miller is an old favorite of mine, and I have yet to find a book of hers I have not loved on some level. The Stranded in Paradise series was a different vibe from her usual works but it definitely grabs you from book one and hasn’t let go of me yet. The characters are well written, the story line keeps getting better from book to book and the heat in each one is enough to keep anyone looking for a little spice engaged. I can’t wait to see where Miller takes this series and any new works up her sleeve in the future. This is a series and an author that you don’t want to miss out on!
Coastal Spirit (Stranded in Paradise Book 3) By Lindsey Marie Miller is the third installment of the Adventures of Henry and Elaine and they find themselves returned to the remote island where it all began though this time Henry’s sister Louisa and her thought to be captor Frederic. When Elaine is captured by adventurers and poachers, set out to finish Henry’s original mission of finding undiscovered land and exotic animal pelts. She must bargain her live for the lives of animals on the Island. Can they save Elaine, escape from Judas and the Island again? I love that this book picks right up where the second book left off. Lindsey Marie Miller has definitely kept this storyline alive in this series. Three books in and I am still held captive from the beginning of the book to the end. I could not put the book down. I really enjoy this author and her ability to tie in romance, action and adventure and suspense into her stories. Another 5 star read for me.
Coastal Spirit: An Action Adventure Romance (Stranded in Paradise Book 3) is the third book in her Stranded in Paradise series. I highly recommend that you read this books in order as they pick up where the previous one has left off. It will also help enrich your enjoyment of this series. I enjoy this author's books and a little sad to see this one coming to an end. But sometimes that means something new for the author when they end one series. Her writing skills are such that her story is easy flowing and engaging. She will pull you right in to her story and make you feel as if you are right there on the island with the characters. Her characters are both connectable and true to life. In this installment of this series, Louisa's kidnapper is still in search of the treasure. She finds herself falling for him. To add injury to insult, she is once again captured by a ruthless hunter. What will happen when she if faced with having to deal with Jade's loss? Is anyone safe on this island? Who will be the ones to make it off the island with their life in tact? I enjoyed the characters in this story. They took me on a few twists and turns that left me sitting on the edge of my seat. They made me feel compassion for them in parts. There is both good and bad characters but they all make up this story and made it fast reading. The story wouldn't be the same with out any of them. I think I will miss this island along with the characters in this story. I highly recommend this story. Find out what happens to these characters on this island in this final installment.
This is the final book in the Trilogy and the author does wrap up the story. The story picks up right where book 2 ended with everyone running around the island. It felt like Keystone Cops. Since the island was not crowded enough another Captain and ship has arrived. He takes Elaine captive. He is after a different type of treasure and wants Elaine help him. Henry seems too weak to be a hero and I did not feel like Henry and Elaine have an everlasting romance. I liked the romance between Louisa and Frederic better. I had a few quibbles with this book. I know MS was used sometimes in history but the Captain knew Elaine was married and continues to call her MS. I thought the red headed crew member was a dropped thread. Henry rebuilds his family business with stolen treasure again. On the plus side we do find out what happened with baby and everyone appears to live happily ever after. I did find the characters to still be rather shallow and the story predictable. All three book do have to be read in order and together. They are quick light reads.
