Although coastal tourism is often regarded as one of the fastest growing segments of contemporary tourism, very little has been written about the planning and management of costal tourism. Despite the increase in activity since 1990s there is limited publishing activity on coastal tourism (most of the existing literature focus on environmental aspect, particularly in the context of integrated coastal management). Only a few publications have covered coastal planning and management issues . The book is therefore unique as there is no similar text on this subject currently on the market.
