I have not read this book in its entirety. But I've read from .25-.50 of the book. Robert Service writes very well, and this I believe has all his poetry books in one volume. Includes such things as 'The Shooting of Dan McGrew' and 'The Cremation of Sam McGee'. Along with some of my personal favorites, 'Soilder of Fortune', 'Bill the Bomber', 'Ballads of a Bohemian', and many, many others. Will be enjoyed by many.

I went to Alaska in November 1965 and spent 30 years up there. I was fortunate to be able to go to a lot of these places. See where Robert Service lived and worked up in and around Dawson and the gold camps. My children had Robert Service as part of their circulum. I had the opportunity to hear some cylinders of Robert Service reading his poems. In other words I really enjoy reading his works. If as you read you can picture in your mind what was going on at that time out here in the states you will even appreciate them more.

I grew up reading the works of Robert Service and had a copy of a book of poems written by him but when I moved back to New York City my copy was lost but now I have a replacement.
