" So, Joan considered her poems as quite ordinary and simple writings; She became that "Humbler Poet!"Joan's two early volumes of poetry, Consider the "Humbler Poet" and Journey Through Thistles and Time, published in 1979 and 1984 respectively, have since been edited and reintroduced to the public as part of the "Humbler Poet" Series. This volume, entitled Collection from the "Humbler Poet," is the 3rd and last of the Series, contains works that has never been printed be-fore. It contains not only poetry but also some short "stand alone" stories as well as other compositions and conversations.
