The course is based
on a communicative syllabus which introduces the learner to core principles of the Turkish language and shows the way it is used in practice. Vocabulary and grammar are introduced in typical situations and social contexts for a visitor to Turkey. Special focus is given to functional
uses of the language, such as making an introduction or asking for information. Exercises are varied and interesting, and are supplemented by verb tables, a pronunciation guide, and a two-way glossary.
Colloquial Turkish assumes no previous knowledge of the
language. An accompanying cassette is also available.
