About the Author
"I was born crafty," Yandell says, "and I've been crafty all my life. I'm sure when I die, it will be face-first into a pile of beads, ribbon, paint and Elmer's Glue. They can put my ashes in cigar box covered with macaroni and spray-painted gold. It's a compulsion. I can't help it."
Yandell's acrylic-on-canvas paintings and altered art creations can be found at the Art and Invention Gallery, located on Woodland Street in East Nashville near 5 Points.
Her witty, colorful designs are available on t-shirts, mugs, tote bags and a ton of other cool stuff in her online shop at http://www.cafepress.com/craftywench.
Yandell is also the author of seven novels. Small Change, the Secret Life of Penny Burford, is a heart-warming story about an ordinary housewife who does extraordinary things with her husband's loose change. Something Blue tells the rollicking tale of three generations of Southern women trying to survive a wedding without gunfire or hair-pulling; and Misery's Child, the first of five volumes in the Cadian Chronicles fantasy series, about a girl born under a curse who struggles to find her own destiny.
Her books are currently available at Amazon.com in both ebook and paperback editions.
