Overview

Come by Becca Jameson

Come by Becca Jameson has been awarded the CTRR award by the reviewers at Coffee Time Romance. ""The writing of Ms. Jameson is simply fabulous and that is not even saying enough. I fell in love with all the characters and I have already scoped out the rest of the books in the series. I love all the big, bad, dom, MMA fighters who permeate the pages of Come. I want to warn all readers do not let the slow build up to the actual sexual acts deter you because when Kay and Rafe truly come together the first time, the collision is as satisfying for the reader as it was for the characters. I highly recommend Come and the amazingly talented Ms. Jameson."" --Delane, Coffee Time Romance Reviewer.

Katy Marks has worked hard for years to make partner at her law firm and be accepted in a man’s world. She hasn’t had much time for play. Now she has a stalker, one of the firm’s partners who hopes to entice her to gain promotion by sleeping with him. Backed into a corner, she grabs an unexpected opportunity. She wards off his unwanted advances by plastering herself against the sexy man leaning casually against the wall outside her uncle’s gym.

Rafe Wesson is stunned by one look at the sexy woman so totally out of place in the gym and finds himself flattened by his best friend and sparring partner. Scrambling to ensure he gets a chance to speak with her, he instead finds himself KO’d by a kiss that rocks his world and hardens him in all the right places.

Katy isn’t Rafe’s type. She’s far too innocent. Besides, she’s the gym owner’s niece. But two dates don’t dampen his desire or release her from his thoughts. Rafe has personal rules against sleeping with a woman before they are fully informed about his dominant ways. But Katy is testing his patience. She wants him, but he fears she won’t be as persistent when she finds out about his preferred lifestyle.

Rafe tries to step away from her, but he can’t ignore the unknown threat that stalks her, and time is running out. Someone wants Katy dead. And Rafe wants Katy...very much alive.

Okay, first off let’s address the elephant in the room and get that issue out of the way. Did you see the cover? Go look. Hot isn’t it? I mean like, H.O.T. I think that image right there would have been enough to talk me into buying this book. I want to buy a print edition so I can sit it on my shelf and stare at it all day long. Of course I’d never get any work done so it might not be in my best interest. Come is written in third person, but we switch points of view between the two main characters each chapter, which I really liked. I think it helped us see the motivations behind each character. Although, had we only had Katy’s side of things it would have been a much more suspenseful read. At first I was a little worried once I saw this book was a BDSM. Honestly, I’m over the whole BDSM thing.. well at least I thought I was. Apparently, I’m not, considering how much I loved this book. The BDSM wasn’t too over powering for the story. It was a nice blend between BDSM and the stalker (suspense) scenes. I will warn you though, all bedroom scenes are BDSM. I was hoping that maybe we’d see a slightly softer side to our heroin, Rafe, but it didn’t happen. Not that Rafe was a hard-core dom. He definitely isn’t, for BDSM scenes they are fairly “light”. There is no flogging, whipping, etc. For starting out not sure if I’d like Rafe I ended with him on my good side. Rafe is protective and sweet of Katy. And Katy, well she might put up a small fight here or there, but come on, remember that cover image.. she didn’t stand a chance. It took a little while for me to really become invested in the story. I was never bored, but I’d say it was somewhere around the 50% mark it picked up and I found myself much more into the story. This might have had something to do with the fact that we don’t get any bedroom scenes until the second half. Come could have been an easy 4.5 star book for me if it had only been a bit longer. I felt like we didn’t get to see much of Rafe and Katy’s relationship. I wish we would have had more time to develop them and their relationship for the readers. I also would have liked to see Rafe be a little more possessive of Katy in his “environment”. I don’t know why, but it didn’t sit well with me that he was ok dressing her up all skimpy and letting someone else in on the “play”, regardless of how minor. But, that was just me, I like my heroes to fall and fall hard. I’m glad this is a series because I want to see more of the characters in this book and the other boys in The Fight Club. I felt like the ending came way too quickly. It was like Bam! stories done.. but I wasn’t done with the characters yet. I want to know what happens next. I don’t know a release date for the next book in the series, but you can guarantee that I’ll be reading them, so I’ll keep you updated. There isn’t a cliffhanger so go one-click Come today.

I truly thought the book was terrific. I knew nothing about BDSM and this was informative in a great storyline. I have read the series and really hope it continues on. The Fight Club and their women are so much fun with awesome romance.

Decent read. Pretty predictable. Something was a bit off with the dialog. Will consider more from this author

I don't understand this book's high ratings. I found the writing stilted & hard to read. I do not recommend this book.

Hot.  Appreciate that it's "light" BDSM but that said, like most BDSM, this centers around his lifestyle which equals a BDSM club?  Whatever.  Still, I loved Rafe and Katy's story and will probably read Mason and Jenna's when it comes out.

I will admit that I was a little taken aback by the male lead's behavior. I guess it's because I was expecting this really dominant guy almost... pushing the female lead into submission. But that wasn't the case here. In the beginning, you find that the male lead is very strict with himself. He breaks his own rules and regrets it; you'll find out why and I think that was very respectable of him. He's nice and almost sweet, but he always has his Dom personality. I didn't really have a problem with his character. The female lead, I kind of wish she had a bit more of a backbone, especially since her job is extremely male dominated. However, I feel if she had a bit of a backbone then she wouldn't have wanted to submit to the male lead. I have conflicting thoughts about her personality. Overall, I thought this book was well-written and interesting to read. Some parts were a little predictable, but still fun to read. Would I read the next book? Yes, but I can't buy it right now. Honestly, I want to see where all the guys end up in the series. P.S. If you're uncomfortable with the mention and act of bondage and/or the mention and act of spanking, I suggest skipping those parts or don't read this book. Also if this is your first read of BDSM, then I think this is an okay start, but always do your own research.

This is another great series! As soon as Rafe saw Katy, it was love at first sight. Then when Katy gave Rafe a scorching kiss, Rafe was a goner. The chemistry between Katy + Rafe was sizzling. I like that idea that the fact that he was a DOM was only part of the relationship, not the whole. Kudos to Becca Jameson!

Since this was a free read, I can't complain. The characters were good (if 1 dimensional), the storyline was intriguing, and the sex was just a bit beyond vanilla. I prefer my BDSM heros with a little more heart and my heroines with a little more spine. It just makes their submission sweeter. Overall, it was good enough to make me want to purchase the next in the series, "Perv". I hope it is worth the cost.

Loved it. I'm purchasing number 2 Perv right now. It looks like this series goes up to the preorder of 10 right now. Love the fact that an author finally started putting the numbers on their books. Keep it up please. Great book can't wait to get to the next one. You won't be disappointed except that it ended, but keep in mind the series continues on. Have fun, I'm going to read Perv now.
