Come, Sit a Spell is an expression the author has overheard many times spoken by his elders inviting their friends to join them and rest even if just for a little while. It implies that the invitee appears to be in need of rest from their labors, and that a few minutes spent with their host, will refresh them. When the author decided to assemble this collection of articles, he had in mind, that by keeping them brief and offering a variety of subject matter, he would be creating a perfect host for a public with little reading time to spare. So you're invited to find a comfortable seat, select an article to read that interests you, relax, and please, sit a spell with the author.
