A nostalgic look at Syria and its peoples before WWII.

This is a wonderful and charming book. I am a Christie fan, but this book is great for those who want to read a book about archeological adventure, or just a simpler time. It is funny, interesting and a delight. An easy and pleasurable read.

This was a very pleasant read which transported me to the time and place of the dig. I have recently started reading works by Agatha Christie and this book made me so excited to learn more about her and read more of her books. Its a really simple book but very interesting and funny. Will read it again often i expect.
