- LendMe LendMe™ Learn More
In Comfortably Unaware, Dr. Richard Oppenlander tackles the crucial issue of global depletion as it relates to food choice. We should all be committed, he tells us, to understanding the reality and consequences of our diet, the footprint it makes on our environment, and seek food products that are in the best interest of all living things. His forthright information and stark mental images are often disturbing-and that's how it should be. As the guardians of Planet Earth, we need to be shaken out of our complacency, to stop being comfortably unaware, and to understand the measures we must take to ensure the health and well-being of our planet-and of ourselves. This book is a must-read for anyone who cares about the sustainability of our planet and human existence... I have become "aware" of my own food choices and how they impact the future of our Earth and have made significant changes to my own lifestyle. I like how Dr.Oppenlander does not hold back on anything--it is all based in truth and factual information that needs to be told as so many people are stumbling through life uninformed and basically brainwashed by the media and organizations that care only about making money...just as I was! He opens our eyes to what is really going on in the food industry and does an amazing job of communicating the necessity for changing our eating habits if we want our children's children to have a future on this planet. THANK YOU to the author for conveying this need for change in an easy-to-read book that I feel will help make more people UNCOMFORTABLY AWARE and will hopefully make some changes as I have!

Thanks to Dr. Oppenlander, I am comfortably unaware no more! The world could be a healthier, better place if everyone reads this book.
I HAVE read this book and it is quite honestly amazing. With 'Comfortably Unaware', Dr. Oppenlander provides clear and obviously well researched information about the sustainability of our planet and the effects our food choices have in the world. This is shared on a level of simply spreading awareness and providing information to become educated on what is happening in the world as it relates to our daily choices. Not many people have the strength to put out information that is difficult to hear, but it is necessary and I admire and respect Dr. Oppenlander for taking that chance. Comfortably Unaware is about providing information to help make the world a better place. Everyone should not only read this book, but share it with everyone they care about for the health of the planet and future generations.
