This is a beautiful read, a romance where childhood family break ups have truly divided them, leaving hurt and anguish as well as secrets and heartache festering in the present. It is an emotive story with great characters, a well developed community and plenty of twists, turns and love along the way. It is a story in which it is clear that different people have different interpretations on what has happened in the past and things really aren’t always as they seem. There are plenty of surprises in the book, some good and others not so good. The community spirit, camaraderie and strong friendships mean people want to protect those they see as their own and many people have long memories which influence how they react in different scenarios. This is an engaging, enthralling read and a great addition to the series. Having said that, I don’t believe you have to have read the earlier nine books in this series to enjoy this one – I haven’t though I may do so in future! I requested and was given a copy of this novel with no obligation. This is my honest review of the book after choosing to read it.

A beautiful, emotional, heartening story about family, expectations and finding your own place in life, but mostly, about falling in love in a small town setting. I enjoyed this story immensely. There was something very special and authentic about the characters and their destinies. I loved that the secondary characters were so well built and had such an important and profound place in the story. And the leading characters, they just won my heart over from the very first scene. Both Sienna Pierce and Crimson sheriff Cole Bennett were characters that were easy to connect with. They are strong, resilient, and smart, as well as loving, caring, and considerate people. And they are broken, hurt, and wounded by their families, and need healing to overcome the pain from the past. Cole and Sienna set the pages sizzling, they have an obvious bond between them, there's a kinship of their souls and a tie that pulls them together. From the very first, they learn to lean on each other, they support the other, while battling the strong attraction towards each other. Even though it is evident that there's a lot of water run under the bridge in Crimson, there are events in the past books that are relevant to the present, but this story was easy to read as a stand-alone novel, and the fact that I have not read the previous stories, was not an issue. With lots of family drama, added to the small-town living, everyone knowing your business, and voicing their opinions, there is a good mix of humor, laughter, tears, and pain in the tale. Cole hides his pain, while Sienna's family troubles are for everyone to see and know. But there is a strong message of forgiveness, of learning to face your troubles and finding the way to communicate your hurt and heartbreak, finding the atonement, and getting the redemption. The story took me by a positive surprise on many occasion with its strong voice and deep emotions. It is filled with heat, humor, and hurt, mixed with adoration and growing pains, on top of the swoon-worthy romance. An absolutely delightful romance story mixed thought-provoking family drama. ~ Four Spoons with a teaspoon on the side

At their heart, Michelle Major’s Crimson Colorado series book are about finding your tribe; and they are all wonderful. There is something universal about the idea that we all need the right people in our lives, we just have to figure out how to find them. In Crimson, Major has created a place where everyone is able to find their people. Coming Home to Crimson is the perfect reminder that things are not always how we remember, and everyone’s tribe is out there somewhere, they just have to be willing to let go and find them.

A drama filled meeting leads to love in our latest Crimson, Colorado visit! It's always a pleasure to return to this small town paradise and see what the future holds for another couple. This time, we're getting Sienna's story when she returns home to confront her abandonment issues with her brother Jase and dad Declan. We already know the family in general, but getting to know Sienna and her version of the story brings it all full circle. The characters are well developed and the setting rich in drama, love and happily ever afters! Sheriff Cole Bennett is shocked to discover the woman that he just pulled over is none other than his friend Jase's elusive long-lost sister. The town is protective of Jase and all that he's been through with Declan and his past family drama, so he wants to make sure he's not blindsided by her arrival. As he gets to know her, he realizes there was more to this story than anyone ever realized. Sienna Pierce left Crimson 20 years ago with her mother and never returned. Now as she finds herself fleeing a cheating ex, her heart takes her back to that town she never thought she'd return to. She'd love to face her past and get some answers once and for all ... but she can't decide if she has the guts to face the conclusions she came to long ago!
