I can find no justification in giving this book 5 stars. Although, it is an very well written book that integrates anatomy and OMT exceptionally well. However, I find that it leaves a lot of OMT information out. Primarily, the diagnostic and treatment modalities. I found myself supplementing the actual OMT information with Saverese and DiGiovanna.
This book definitely has superior images and figures compared to the other review books out there... highly recommend it to those who are visual learners. The question & answer format makes it easy to find the particular areas that you are weak in (instead of reading everything like a story-book). Lastly, it combines the anatomy with the OMM- which (judging from my Step I) seems to be a large chunk of questions. All in all, I think it is better preparation than the other options which I read during OMM labs.
When studying for the COMLEX, osteopathic medical students have always been short on finding alternatives. COMLEX Review finally fills the void for high-yield, easy to read and understand review books for the osteopathic manipulative medicine portions of the osteopathic boards.
