Common Christianity / Uncommon Commentary by Bob Walters

This book is a compilation of five years of weekly Christian newspaper columns with thoughtful and often wry reflections on Christianity, Christian life, and modern culture. Written by late-to-the-faith journalist and communications executive Bob Walters, the columns have been published in the weekly ""Current"" local general interest newspapers in Carmel, Westfield, Noblesville and Fishers, Indiana, on the northside of Indianapolis since the paper's founding in October 2006. It's uncommon for a newspaper to provide this kind of direct, believer's commentary on common Christian themes, hence the title - Common Christianity / Uncommon Commentary.

Foreword by Dr. David Faust, President, Cincinnati Christian University.

AUTHOR WALTERS invites readers into his life – past and present – in this autobiography- in-the-making. Walters shares glimpses of his earliest days in the church followed by a hiatus and the moment in 2001 when it all came back together... during a conversation with his son. Majority of the book shares Walters' inspired "recovery" and his non-threatening observations of the Holy Trinity, the history of Christianity and the people and events of his life. The author's questions, statements and gentle challenges provide a painless path for believers AND non-believers to walk and consider as we deal with the myriad issues of faith and how we relate it to the events of our lives. –K.O.

This book is delightful, because it is set up to provide pages of short commentaries about a myriad of Christian behaviors. It is thought provoking, and individually unique! The writer doesn't "go on, and on" about deep concepts, yet in his usually brief commentary, provides ample insight for productive thinking relative to his objective! If you are searching for creative, witty, vision - "penned" to keep you "thinking" deeply with regard to your feelings about Christianity; you need to "get your hands on a copy of this book" - and read it! You will find it worthy of your time, and this book will certainly make you THINK!
