About the Author

Jean Blasiar is the award-winning author of the Emmy Budd mystery series for young readers, ages 7 to 13, and "Poor Rich" and "Richer" for young adults. Jean's previous experience as a playwright and theatrical producer in the Los Angeles area resulted in one of Jean's plays optioned by Twentieth Century Fox for a pilot. "Communion" is Jean's first adult novel in collaboration with her editor at Savant, Jonathan Marcantoni. The screenplay for "Communion" has been written by Jean and Jonathan and currently in the hands of an agent and producer.

A freelance writer and editor since 2004, Jonathan Marcantoni is a graduate of the University of Tampa, where he majored in Spanish studies. He has worked on The Bleepin Truth television show and also for the Tampa Bay Sun. He is a Savant editor, residing in San Antonio with his wife and two daughters.
