A highly infotmative book about eating well and living well with IBS. I especially liked the information regarding air travel and IBS. The book is filled with wonderful recipes and the German Potato Salad is definitely a must try!

Impressed with Kate Scarlata's writing style. As a novice when it comes to IBS, I found this book informative and helpful right from the start. Each chapter is broken down into a consistent and easy to read format. Key words and tips are highlighted as 'wellness words' or 'gut facts' to ensure you capture them. Furthermore, each chapter is summarized with "the least you need to know" in case you feel like skimming through to start (though you will certainly want to go back and read through those that you breeze through initially!). Kate writes with a fun, personalized style; helping you to feel as though she is talking directly to you. As she admits to struggling with IBS herself, it is comforting to hear what she has been through herself. As a dietitian, I would certainly recommend this book for those hoping to learn more about IBS or even for those who would like to experiment with their own IBS challenges and create a healthier lifestlye.

I recently found out I am lactose intolerant, this book helped me figure out all the places to look for that ingredient. Also, it showed me new ways to cook without lactose.
