Hever's masterpiece adroitly condenses voluminous information with the precision of a surgeon. She intricately weaves enough clinical data with common sense for an electrifying read that demystifies the esoteric nature of the nutrition field. Hever's impressive credentials and boundless energy are surpassed only by her passion and commitment to teach the miracles of plant-based whole foods to as many humans as possible. This book will radically transform the playing field of nutrition - and she is just getting started! Hever does a remarkable job of both captivating the reader with her engaging girl-next-door tone while serving invaluable information like it was blasted from a fire hose. Readers will understand the innumerable benefits and the far-reaching effects of simply consuming plant-based whole foods. I had a hard time putting this book down; chapters kept beckoning me. The Complete Idiot's Guide to Plant Based Nutrition is beautifully organized, a pleasure to read, and totally inclusive of everything we need to know in order to eat healthfully (plus there is more: shopping, fitness, disease, wonderful recipes...). All ages are addressed. Scientific references back up material included. No "woo woo". The book contains an encyclopedic amount of information that was both interesting, and easy and fun to read. I have bookmarked many pages to help me to a healthier life. This is a book that I will give to my friends and know that they will read it cover to cover, over and over. This awesome book will not gather dust on the shelf!

I am very new to whole-plant based foods. This book is great for beginners and I would imagine that those more experienced would get a lot out reading it. Looking forward to continuing my journey and using this book as a very valuable resource. Thanks for writing this for us "complete idiots" Julieanna!!! I have not been able to put it down since downloading it on my iPad. Julieanna's writing style is very conversational and this book is very easy to understand. I am a pretty fit guy (running and doing triathlons), but I was not aware of the many benefits of a plant-based diet. I am now changing my eating habits to take full advantage of the benefits. Thanks again Julieanna!!! I hope you continue writing informative books. Rich

This book was very helpful for me since I just began a plant-based diet. It was very informative with nutritional information which was necessary for me. In addition, I appreciate the chapters with recipes because I had to retrain myself with cooking. Overall enjoyable book

I became a Vegan, using this book as a guide, a few months ago and I've never felt so good in all my life. This book has been a big help with the transition as it answered all of my questions and gave me a great deal of excellent information to use down the road. I'm not a big follower of recipes but I did get familiar with all of the healthy ingredients available to create my own. My wife, not a Vegan but very health conscious, enjoys the books very healthy approach and to nutrition. All-in-all, a really remarkable resource to have around as it's probably already helped to add many active and healthy years to my life.

Complete idiots is right if you eat like this. God gave us dominion over the animals, which means we can EAT them.
