I'm a huge Edgar Allan Poe fan, and this is great because it's the most complete- 70-something stories, 50-something poems and some other Poe essays. His writings are very dark- my favorite stories are The Tell-Tale Heart, The Masque of the Red Death, and Hop-Frog. My favorite poem is 'The Raven' by far, it's a Poe classic

Poe is my favorite writer. His skill with the English language is beyond that of any other. This collection of his writings is amazing.

edgar allan poe is the only real poet and short story teller ive ever felt connected with. reading the raven just blew my mind. its amazing how someone can pass on that kind of feeling of horror and sadness with words. great.

Who can match Poe's writing. No matter how may times one reads his works...they are as new. He never ceases to make one think and his descriptions are superior to any other writer.

It was cool. I read it cover to cover in two days. The Raven was my favorite poem in it.

This book was very interesting. Edgar Allen Poe's best work in one book, and I'm happy.

I recently had to do a research paper on Poe, and this book certainly helped a great deal. Not only did it offer insight into his writing, but it was just very enjoyable to read and i managed to read it cover to cover including the poems. Those interested in Gothic writers definitely should take a look at Edgar Allan Poe.

I just recently purchased this book and I can not seem to put it down. Poe was one of America's original writers of tales and poems, and should be credited to the fullest extent.

As I waited in the winter/ and wondered why I fear/ I heard a Poe's voice/ trembling oh so near/ In its horror and its shadow I knew there no escape/ A heart beating rhytmically/ Chilled my soul/ , To sad disgrace.
