This is a fantastic romantic comedy. I was laughing the whole way through -- the banter between the characters, the hilarious situations they find themselves in and all the frustrating throat clearing make for a fun and enjoyable reading experience.

The characters are supposed to be 25-30 yrs old, ivy league grads running world corporations and blue blood aristocrats. Yet, they act like teenagers playing stupid practical jokes and being very immature about the physical aspects of falling in love in a week. Clearly written for young adults, as the characters seem to be harnessing their inner 13 yr old. While there were a few comical moments, it was just unrealistic to the point of confussing. If you want a PG romance story about staying a virgin until married, knock yourself out.

I enjoyed the book, how it was written and would like to read more from her.

great book and awesome characters. i spent all day wishing the book would keep going after i finished. Rachel is awesome, i don't know how she does it but she has a regency and contemporary series going at the same time and her books come out pretty fast too. i recommend them all!

I enjoyed this entire story. I simply adored the characters, especially the MC. I never lost interest, and it was exciting all the way through to the end. Worth the money.

I felt that this book was written quickly with no editing. I gave two stars, because there were some funny moments.

This book is plain stupid! Not one part of it is even remotely interesting or romantic. The characters acted like they were 12 years old. None of this story was interesting. NONE. I think a child could write a better story.

This book was fantastic! I found the characters absolutely charming and I fell in love with them all. I loved watching Claire ans Roderick fall for each other and I found myself cheering for every step forward they made. I also found myself falling for Roderick's friend Lord Clement and I hope she writes a book about him if he hasn't already.

This book seriously has the perfect combination of romance and humor. The mixture is so perfect that you can't help but feel frustrated for the main characters. This book also have some of the best supporting characters I think I have ever met in a book! They give you the laughs, with their crazy antics! It is a light happy read. Enjoy it!

This story is very funny. Rachel Van Dyken took a modern day life and mixed it with the the 1500's i just love the layout of the setting and how everything just work together.. it's kind of fantasy and real life put together to make a powerful couple.

All-American Girl goes to London and discovers european papparazzi... Hot Duke-to-be discovers how to have fun... Meddling Grandma... You get the idea. This was a fun, funny frolic; set as a headline-driven contemporary with elements usually found in Historical romances. Barbara Cartland would have loved it. You probably will as well. I sure did.

Liked most of the story until the end. The kidnap scene was ridiculous and didn't like how abruptly the story ended with no love scene after all the waiting.

I love the setting of this book! Modern day Regency Romance- who would have thought?! The characters are spunky and witty! I love that the leading lady is a smart, strong woman. The ONLY problem I had was that Kessen allowed others to rule her without a fight. She starts off so strong, and maintains her opinions and personality throughout the book, but when it comes to the life-altering event, she just resigns without a fight. Overall a compelling read that had me highlighting in my Nook and laughing out loud :)

I wish there would've been a little more steam, while it left me with a happy feeling it lacked something! If you are looking for steamy sex scenes you will be disappointed, however there is plenty of build up just no product!

Needed more of a plot

I am truly disappointed in this book. It had a promising start and went downhill with unbelievable characters, immature dialogue and childish behavior. I had to force myself to keep reading and eventually pled mercy and stopped 50 pages from the end. This could possibly be categorized as young adult fiction but I can't even see the young adults in my house finding much to enjoy in this book. E-books must be very easy to get published.

So I have to admit even though I LOVE Rachel Van Dyken's books I was little leary about this one since it wasnt a Regency Romance. I really do love being proven wrong :) I LOVED this book...it is like the perfect marriage of Regency Romance and Mondern Day. I absolutely adored half-brit American born Kessen and her personality getting under the skin of the future Duke of Albany :) These two spark from the moment they meet! I totally recommend this read it was refreshing!

The plot in this book and the antics of the characters were terribly immature and poorly thought out. Would not recommend this

I have to say Rachel van Dyken is one of my favorite authors! This is by far one of my favorites written by her! Loved the paintball scene... too funny!
