About the Author

Linda Andrews lives in Phoenix, Arizona with her husband, three children and a menagerie of domesticated animals. While she started writing a decade ago, she always used her stories to escape the redundancy of her day job as a scientist and never thought to actually combine her love of fiction and science. DOH! After that Homer Simpson moment, she allowed the two halves of her brain to talk to each other. The journeys she’s embarked on since then are dark, twisted and occasionally violent, but never predictable.

I had thoroughly enjoyed the Redaction series and was looking for more books by Linda Andrews when I came across this one. I was so excited; absolutely loved it and cannot WAIT for the rest of the series. If you like Post Apocalyptic fiction you'll love this book. It was like reading a follow up the Neville Shute's On The Beach.

If you're wanting to wind down for the night with a nice relaxing read, don't open this book. It was so violent I couldn't finish it. It might be a good book, but I just couldn't get past all the raping and beating. I read all the Redaction books and they were all very good. Guess I'm not cut out for post-apocalyptic life....

I was very hesitant to read this book.  I loved the Redaction series and really liked all the characters.  I was bummed at the end of the third installment of Redaction when it mentioned the next book would be following up with the world 100 years after Redaction.  I liked the characters so much, I wasn't sure if I wanted to continue in the same "universe" without them.  I finally dove into this book and am very glad I did.  Linda Andrews once again did a wonderful job with all of her characters, and I'm very much looking forward to the next book in the series.  Can't wait!
