Richard Harding Davis was a jack of all trades in the late 19th century. A journalist who wrote a number of works, he also helped Theodore Roosevelt's political rise to the top of American politics, and he even influenced fashion trends. Some of his best work was as a war correspondent for the Spanish American War and World War I.
