I found this book to be much better than the usual historical romances dealing with the same era. The 2 main characters,Fayth and Giles, have realistic reactions to the situations they find themselves in. This realism enhances the story and makes their falling in love and the difficulties they encounter as a couple that much more believable. Ultimately it makes this novel much more enjoyable. This is the first novel I've read by Teri Brisbin but I am looking forward to reading her next book Storm of Passion.

Terri Brisbin is one of my go to authors and always succeeds in writing stories that take the reader back to the time period and through the emotional ups and downs of a blooming love!
