About the Author

Niki Block is a landscaper by trade but has been a voracious writer since she was ten years old, and has experimented with all manner of genres and literary styles. Her first novel, Polaris, is inspired by her love of action thrillers and her interest in delving into the deep recesses of what humanity is capable of. Her goal with this novel is to topple the reader's expectations of the genre.

In addition to her love of writing, Niki spends her time sketching, kayaking, canoeing, gardening, and boxing. She lives in rural Manitoba with her husband, daughter, and a whole host of mosquitoes!
