In this comprehensive study of China, the emergence of India’s great neighbor on the global center stage as a military and economic superpower is closely followed. It is an effort to analyze China’s economic, political, and military trajectory in a sustained and dispassionate manner, making it a body of insightful work that will be useful to scholars, policymakers, journalists, and all those interested in knowing China better.
