Where do I begin… *big smiles* First you have to have read the previous two books in this series. DO NOT MISS OUT ON NOT READING THIS SERIES There are a lot of shocking revolutions in the third book in the series. Things that I, who usually knows what is going to happen before they actually happen, was surprised. Just when I thought things were coming to light, something would happen. A new discovery. Some revolutions I was not expecting. Revaluations about people that surprised me. No one is safe in Convicted. When I first started reading Convicted, I was a little confused about why certain things were in place. I was no sure if the book was taking a different turn or going a different direction. I started questioning who the bad guys were and who the good guys were. The book starts in the future, 2016 and then we are brought back to the present where we were left in Truth. With the story going back and forth, the reader really does not know when the story is going. However at about 35%, it all starts to come together. I do not want to give too much away, but I just want to leave you with these tips. The last 18% of this book make sure you (what am I saying for the entire book…) #1 - Do not have any interruptions #2 - That you are in a quiet room #3 - That you make the time needed to finish without stopping. Let just say, I was biting my nails. Anxious, nervous, worried. Yes it was an emotional ride. Tony opened up to Claire about some things in this book that would seem a little creepy stalky, but sorry, I loved it. I thought “Tony, if you did that to me, I would think it was pretty hot.” Yes, I know I need help!!! When you read the book, you will understand. This series would make a great movie. I would love to see it on the big screen

Some Hollywood big shot better get off their ass and make Mrs. Romig an offer she can not refuse. While I have no doubt a movie deal will be in her future, I would rather see this on the small screen. There are enough twists and turns to fill Thursday night T.V. for years to come. I felt completely lucky and honored to have gotten an ACR of Convicted. I am truly a huge fan of this series and of Aleatha Romig, I was dying to get my hands on the last book to bring some closure to my sweet torture that is the Consequence series and Convicted did not disappoint. From the moment this book appeared on my Kindle that familiar knot of nerves grew in my stomach and chest. After, the frist chapter I was a wreak! I seriously wondered if I could handle what was coming my way. With several bottles of wine, a bottle of pepto bismol and after many, many chapter breaks I completed my ALL TIME FAVORITE SERIES. BEST. SERIES. EVER. Now, I don’t take that statement lightly and I have never spoken or typed those words. Convicted challenged me as a reader. It challenged my patience, my trust, my logic and most of all my heart. This series kept me thinking, and rethinking each move that was made, each word spoken. When my theories failed I picked up my puzzle pieces and started to rebuild but, Aleatha Romig Always managed to stay five steps ahead. More than a book this series became a mental game I played right along with Tony, Claire, and Catherine. It was intelligent, intense, frustrating and everything I needed! I went into this book telling my self not to fall for anyone, and even though EVERYONE was suspicious to me up to the very end, I fell for Claire. I don’t think I ever hated her but, I certainly did not agree with her on many occasions. I admired her strength, courage, willingness to forgive but, determination not to repeat the mistakes of her past. I am not going to go into detail about the other characters, I feel Convicted is best going into blind. That is what makes this series fun, having your own conclusion and watching as Aleatha Romig blows them up in your face. I can tell you, I got all my answers, not right away there are still a million twists and turns and it a fascinating journey of intricately woven web of lies, secrets and revenge. Aleatha Romig, Good Game! CHECKMATE!
Shellbelle1 More than 1 year ago last the Consequences are paid. This book is the conclusion of the most thrilling, thought provoking, emotional rollercoaster, and stratigically mastered game that has destroyed lives.  Each player has paid a Consequence for the actions of their lives.  Each has played their hand.  The game master or dealer is revealed.  The revelation will affect each and every player for the rest of their lives.  If I could give this series a 100 stars I would! Aleatha Romig is brilliant!  She has taken the readers on an emotional adventure that will not be forgotten! This is the series of 2013!

You’ve read Consequences. You’ve read Truth. Now it’s time for the third and final installment in the Consequences series, Convicted. I had the pleasure of reading the ARC and let me tell you, it was my absolute pleasure! Thank you Aleatha! So if you’ve read my other reviews on Consequences and Truth you already know they tend to evoke strong emotions. J Convicted does the exact same thing except on an EPIC level. It took me a week to read Convicted. Why you ask? Well not because it was a slow read. Not because I wasn’t interested. NOPE. It was because I didn’t want it to end. I dreaded the last 20%. I didn’t want to know the conclusion. I didn’t care how it ended (not true). I just didn’t want to know it was over. I cried big fat baby tears too when it finally happened. Not happy tears not sad tears. More like tears of contentment. I sat there for a while with my closed kindle in my hands just thinking about what had transpired. I had closure. It was time to unbuckle my seatbelt and get off the ride. To say Convicted was an easy read, would be a lie. There is nothing easy about Convicted. Shoot, there was nothing easy about Consequences or Truth. I felt so many different emotions reading Convicted that I can’t pinpoint one in particular. I can maybe list some of them for you though. This list encompasses all facets of the story and is in no particular order: Anger—Passion—Happiness—Indifference Empathy—Sadness—Grief—Anxiety Fear—Compassion—Frustration—Love Astonishment—Fondness—Atonement—Forgiveness Joy—Spellbound Maybe SPELLBOUND should be the word I use to sum up Convicted. I lost myself in the story. I didn’t need to sleep or eat or breathe, I just needed more. Even though I took my time reading it, it was pure torture putting it down. I wanted to devour it and lick my fingers when it was over. I had to force restraint. I honestly did not want it to end. Convicted, had my stomach in knots. Just when I thought I knew everything, BAM! Aleatha made sure I actually knew nothing. Just when I thought things were going to be a certain way emotionally, BAM! Aleatha made sure I knew my emotions weren’t mine to control. Just when I thought the story was over, BAM! Aleatha added just a little bit more. I can only promise you one thing. You will finally know the truth. There will be no more secrets. EVERYONE is exposed for who or what they are. Loose ends are tied up. Certain things happen to certain people. Certain people do certain things. Convicted is amazing. Convicted is the end. Goodbye Claire and Tony.

Brutal, dark, tender, light. When I started reading Consequences, it wasn't exactly what I was looking to read. By the time I finished Convicted, I wanted more. I was looking for dark and twisted with an outcome of hope. I got so much more. I got dark and twisted, compassion and hatred, light and tenderness, forgiveness and sorrow. This series wasn't what I was looking for, but I got everything and more!

RIVETING IS THE FIRST WORD THAT COMES TO MIND.. I just now finished this book, and I'm still chocked up, mostly starting with the incident involving Sophia and Derek, but In fact the entire book was highly emotional. The journey continues with Revealed which I'm about to embark on now.

Another awesome book!  Against all odds Claire and Anthony have become a couple.  They have uncovered the fact that they were both pawns and are trying to protect themselves while putting the past behind them.  But things are not easy for this couple.  One thing leads to another and Claire is committed to a mental hospital where she has withdrawn from her family and life.  A friend from the past helps Claire regain her memories but will she be able to reclaim her life?  Anthony has pulled away from her, not because of her mental state, but because he doesn't want to cause her any more pain and heartbreak. It was difficult for me to grasp the idea that after everything he did to her because of his vendetta that after they actually find happiness he pulls away.  Whether he can stay away is another thing.  Looking forward to reading Revealed to fill in what Anthony when through while Claire was locked away.

This author is one of the best I have read in along time. This is not your happy ever after. This has so many twist and turns you will not be able to put this down. Plan on not getting your house work done nor sleep at night. Beyond anything I have ever read. Love it!

Speechless….. Who is playing who here? Who is the master puppeteer?  This is just too much!  And, I am so shocked that I even like Anthony in this book. That persistent little booger found his way into my heart.  I hated him initially, I never intended to like him just like “he never intended to enjoy her, much less love” Claire.   Round of applause to Claire for being stronger this time around and trying to play a game of chess with a master. But again who really is the Grandmaster? I need answers ASAP. Lesson I learned: Patience is a virtue one most possess when plotting revenge.   Like really Marie Rawls? You deserve an award for being the most manipulative villain ever. You’ve sat back, put all your pieces in place, countered every move, played well, and watched your revenge unfold. This entire time you’ve negatively affected the lives of everyone connected to anyone who played a part in ruining Nathaniel Rawls.  Guess you are really the Grandmaster!  Talk about loyalty! You sneaky B, and just like that….. Oh and poor Harry, my heart really broke for him. In a perfect world, she would have chosen him not fall back into the arms of Anthony voluntarily.  I can only imagine how Claire felt telling him the truth and how angry Emily and John were when they learned the truth.  Just remember all actions have consequences, and I can’t wait to see what happens next in this series.

Holy crap on a cracker! I am emotionally drained after following the twists, the turns, the jerk-neck responses that make you say....what??? Althea Romig writes the most intriguing, spine tingling multi-generational saga and explodes it with a bang. Hats off to this woman! To tell more about this story, would be to give spoilers. My review of the first book in this series (Convicted) says it all. This was my first series with Romig. It will not be the last. I am a devoted reader from now on.
