I have never made a mistake with a selection out of these books. My family and friends are astonished at what they believe are my (cough cough) cooking skills.... the cholocate cream pie alone is worth the cost of the book. I'm one of those hard headed people who want to know 'but why'.... and here, I get the 'but why' 20 different ways to Sunday! AND, my husband has been so convinced, I even got an ALL-CLAD 12' Fry Pan for Christmas, I just kept pointing to the product recommendation in the book... America's Test Kitchen ROCKS!!!

This book saves me time because I know the recipe will be right the first time. It saves me money because I know that when I go shopping for the ingredients for a particular recipe that it has already been tried and tested for me and that it will taste great without having to tweak it.
