Do you take me seriously? Because I don't. I use my jokes and easygoing personality to hide the pain I've felt since he took his last breath. I'm adrift without my partner in crime, my best brother. I can taste the vengeance just within my grasp.

Until she barges into my life. Promising me happiness and a peace I've been craving for years. She is the sun to my darkness, the happy to my despair.

But she holds secrets. Just like I do. She holds hers close, where I just pray mine don't rock the walls we're trying to build.

Now I'm stuck at a crossroads between my desire for revenge and my craving for her and the life we could have together--and I have no idea which road I should travel.

All I know with crystal clear certainty is that the past has the power to destroy it all.

*No cliffhanger* *This book is not suitable for younger readers. There is strong language, adult situations, and some violence.*

Oh my gosh where do I even start?? The twist in Beck had me scared to read this book because I knew it would be was it ever! At first I wanted to rip Chelcie's hair out for her playing these childish games..but I am glad Cooper had her number. Cooper was the alpha that just would cause you to melt from his hotness! And to be there for his just tore your heart out of frame. I laughed, I cried, sad tears and happy tears. This book is so emotional and for it to end the way it was perfect. Life came full circle.

Asher Cooper has been through so much with the loss of his brother Coop and has vengeance in his heart. He can think of nothing else except getting those that killed his brother. Until she walks into his life. She is he sunshine he never thought he'd have. Chelcie has secrets of her own and is trying to find the time to tell Asher, but doesn't know what his reaction would be. These two have so much to get past to find one another. All I am gonna say is keep your tissues handy because I thought the others were tear jerkers... this one is just as good. I can't get into too much detail without giving anything away but I can say that I love this series and want more. I don't recommend reading this as a stand-alone because there are parts of their history in the others, besides how can you not read this whole series. This series is an amazing roller coaster that you will not want to get off of.

This is my first time reading a book by this author and I'm glad I did. I really enjoyed this book. It was easy to read, good characters and a few steamy scenes. I wish I had known this was part of a series because I would have started from the first book. It was easy to go along with the plot but I would have liked to get to know the other characters. I found out after a couple of chapters this is actually book #5. So I felt like I missed some of the details by not reading in order. It would be nice if authors or BN could put a volume number on the book cover when books are in a series. It would save so much time so that I may start reading a book right away and not have to research to find out the order of the books. God knows there are way too many book series out there!

Harper Sloan's Corps Security Crew gets Ash to join after he loses his brother Coop. Ash is so lost and this story of how he comes back is full of twist and turns you do not expect. The stories of the rest of the crew are added to in this story. It is an unexpected expansion of the story lines for the group. Great storytelling by Harper now on to Locke. Thanks Harper Sloan & Good Writing

Cooper has died and Chelcie is pregnant with his child. Asher fills his days and nights with booze and women, trying to cope with his brother's death. Chelcie knows she needs to tell Ash but he's a mean drunk. When he finally finds out, he's hurt 's upset but he finally has something to live for. There was so much pain by all characters after Cooper was killed. An emotional but great read! *I received a free copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.*

This is the Fourth (or fifth) installment in the Corps Security series. I recommend reading the other books in this series before reading this one Axel (Corps Security, #1) Cage (Corps Security, #2) Beck (Corps Security, #3) Uncaged (Corps Security, #3.5) This is Asher and Chelcie's story. Asher is trying to deal with the horrible blow he was dealt. But is drinking himself stupid and sleeping with anything he can. You finally get a background for Cooper and an understanding of why he is as he is. Chelcie has a secret she needs to tell Asher. Unless she can catch him sober she will never be able to tell him. As she is dealing with her secret all on her own she wonders if that will always be the way or if Asher will come around. Can Asher pull himself together and help Chelcie? Or will she push him away after he is contantly rude and disrespectful to her?

Words can't describe how much I loved this book.  I'm so glad I started the series. I loved the writing style and the characters. I can't wait to read the next new thing from Harper.  Cooper was so unexpected, I loved his brother, so this was just amazing!  Each book gets better and better.

Book 4 in the series.  I have to say for some reason I wasn't as excited for this book and the previous ones in the series.  To my surprise it was just as good as the first 3.5.  Wonderful.
