This first book in the series is truly unique in it of itself. In the description, the author has difficulty of labeling the genre this book should be categorized in. I actually think this book should be classified under Sci-fi/Fantasy Fiction. I know several friends of mine who are various ages who would be intrigued by this series. Anyway back to the book. Animals have evolved once again. Our main character, Corr Syl has come from a line who evolved from rabbits. To me, there were sometimes I asked, "Why rabbits?" But that's what added part of the intrigue of the novel in it of itself. There was collaboration of many characters to the point where sometimes I had to re-read some of the passages but that was ok. The first book is very well developed and planned out. Those who are looking for a new series to dive into regardless of age, choose this one!

I enjoyed the fast paced story of this book, and the fantasy setting where animals are very intelligent was so intriguing to follow. A truly fun novel that offers a positive theme and an interesting set of characters that really made me want to read it all in one setting. Futuristic and uplifting, it definitely offers something new in the genre. Well worth the read.

Reviewed by Bil Howard for Readers' Favorite The conflict between humans (Danog) and the multi-species Tsaeb civilization is raging in Garry Roger’s science-fiction thriller, Corr Syl the Warrior. Upon an earth where intelligent life evolved long before the human species appeared, there is a struggle for dominance. As the Danog invade Tsaeb lands, a young warrior, Corr Syl, is called upon to use his special skills to act as a scout and recommend a course of action. The green warrior is assigned several unwanted assignments which impede his romantic intentions toward Rhya Bright, who remains just out of his reach. When he discovers that spies have infiltrated his home and placed her life and others in danger, he is forced to step up to the duty before him or face the possibility of losing everyone and everything that he loves. Corr Syl the Warrior by Garry Rogers is something of a coming-of-age novel as a young warrior wins his spurs and is forced to grow up in the face of conflict. The characters, their special skills, and their talents are well developed. The action is full of suspenseful twists and turns as the plot unfolds, revealing not only the fate of the inhabitants of Tsaeb, but the fate of the young warrior as he is transformed. This is an imaginative work which does not lack in detail as the reader is drawn deeper into the story. The truly hardcore, sci-fi fan will be delighted and entertained by the pace and deep thought involved in this novel. A must for the serious sci-fi reader.

Reviewed by Maria Beltran for Readers' Favorite In Corr Syl The Warrior, author Garry Rogers creates a fantasy world that will surely stir your imagination. Corr Syl is a warrior and he belongs to the Tsaeb race. This is a race that evolved from mammals, birds, reptiles, and arthropods. They are a highly intelligent species with the ability to disguise the scent of their blood and direct their cells to repair themselves. The story begins with Corr completing his warrior training and wanting to travel the world. This plan has to take a back seat when a border dispute develops between the Tsaeb and the Danog, a species that evolved from Home sapiens. The Danogs are notorious for harming the environment for their selfish needs. When the young warrior is sent on a quest to investigate the Danogs' actions, he discovers the evil and danger that are about to happen to his world.  Reluctantly thrown into acts of courage, Corr Syl is a character that many young people can empathize with. He dreams about his plans of traveling the world and his feelings for Rhya, a warrior rabbit who has taken his fancy, until he is sent on an investigative quest that will test his courage and stamina. This novel has a well thought out plot and very interesting characters. It also sends a very clear message to its readers without sounding preachy and righteous. Engaging and entertaining, it has all the literary ingredients of a successful novel. Indeed, this is more than just a story about a young warrior’s adventure but is also a reminder of how humans are abusing the environment. This is a concern that has been expressed in very many ways but this one is certainly one of the most imaginative.

Reviewed by Lit Amri for Readers' Favorite In Corr Syl the Warrior, there is a rising conflict between Tsaeb, a primeval multispecies, and Danog, the Homo sapiens descendants.  We follow a young Tsaeb warrior, Corr Syl, a descendant of rabbits, as he investigates threats from a neighboring Danog community. Together with another warrior, Rhya Bright, Corr reluctantly undertakes the task entrusted to him by the council, in which his skills will be tested.  This story is richly layered with fascinating scientific visions. As a sci-fi novel, Corr Syl the Warrior has the most interesting and multifaceted premise I have read so far, which subsequently leads to a brilliant plot.  The beings in the story are varied, and I did find it quite a lot to learn at first.  The main species are Homo sapiens and evolved animals.  Readers would instantly gravitate towards the protagonist Corr Syl, the youngest fully trained warrior of Wycliff District.  The Tsaeb are intelligent creatures who evolved far in the past, both physically and culturally.  Tsaeb believe in Immediacy, an ethical system that strives for balance in all conditions, concepts, and creatures. Garry Rogers has meticulously crafted this multi-layered fiction and the result is outstanding.  Readers will definitely appreciate and be blown away by its detailed and well-thought complexity.  What happens between Corr and his childhood friend, the mountain lion Allon Trofeld, is mournful.  Yet, in the end, Corr gives Allon what he needs.  This is undeniably a commendable story, one that sci-fi and fantasy fans will definitely love and talk about for a very long time.

Reviewed by Melinda Hills for Readers' Favorite Animal species with advanced intelligence and physical skills live side by side with humans in this science fiction story by Garry Rogers. Corr Syl, the modern warrior descended from the great race of warrior rabbits going back many thousands of years, must devise a plan to hold back the threat the humans have made to the Tsaeb way of life. Throughout Corr Syl the Warrior, members of all different species use their highly developed sensory and physical abilities to counter the effects of human encroachment, pollution, and overpopulation. With the support of the Wycliff District Council, Corr and another warrior rabbit, Rhya, travel to the Tsaeb embassy in the human town of Mountainview to identify the reason for recent military movement over the border and take action to stop it. Many factors come together, posing a much larger problem than anyone had suspected. It takes all of Corr and Rhya’s efforts to keep the situation under control. A tremendous amount of creativity and story development make this an excellent book. In a fascinating narrative, Rogers illustrates important concepts such as the stewardship of resources, the balance of nature, the role of each individual in promoting the good of society, and much more. The capacity of the mind to overcome physical and mental restrictions is also a key point and Corr provides a great example of the effects of training, determination, and dedication. This book is a starting point for excellent discussion about the little things everyone can do to help improve life in small and significant ways around the planet.
