4.5 stars I couldn’t wait for this book in the series. I wanted it as soon as I read the first book. Bobby Gray was hilarious. I loved that even though he was a playboy he realized there was something special with Kelli and couldn’t wait to figure it out. He stuck with it even though Kelli was persistent in resisting his charms. Once she figured out she loved him anyway, Kelli gave it up. She just called and told her sister that she loved him and couldn’t help it. Then, Bobby Gray does the worse thing he could possibly do. He used her for her title. She flees. I can’t believe she even gave him a second chance. Bobby realized as soon as he noticed how Kelli was acting at dinner that this wasn’t important she was, but was it too late? A really good book, I wish the third book was focused on Monty Joe, but it’s not. I will have to decide if I’m going to read it or not.

4 stars I purchased a copy of the novella The Texas Two-Step:A Western Romance: Country Courtship by Kathy Carmichael and this review was given freely. A royal princess/american working girl and a billionaire/rancher attraction at first sight rocky romance. Simple and sweet with a comedy of errors but a happy ending and a good lead in to the sequel. The second oldest Palmer daughter and Veterinarian Kelli unintentional draws her flight attendant sister Lori's admirers frustrating and angering Lori. Family strife continues between Charlie's brothers, ranchers Monty Joe and his brother Bobby Gray, resulting in a plot to bring "Princess" Kelli to an important dinner meeting where Bobby Gray is hoping to get money for expansion as well as getting the girl.

A fun loving romance with Kathy's enjoyable writing flair that brings a smile to your face as your read it. Having loved the characters in her first book, Chasing Charlie, I was really looking forward to reading this one too. Although these are in a series they are complete stand alone reads. Persistence is the key in this romance, bringing two people together who initially consider the situation as doing a favor for each other, 'one good turn deserves another'. Kelli is a vet who seems to attract all the male attention even when she doesn't want it, leaving her younger sister, Lori, fed up and full of jealousy. When Bobby Gray enters the scene, Lori's ranch owner friend, he only has his mind set on Kelli which stirs up a heap of sister trouble, whether there is a relationship or not. With cowboys, animals in need of tlc and these two trying to figure it all out it this is another entertaining quick read from the author.

Like most women, I find rodeo stars and cowboys attractive. I am not a buckle bunny by any means, but perhaps if I ever saw Bobby Gray Nelson in person, that might change. I met Charlie's brother in Chasing Charlie where Bobby Gray was being the overly protective brother. This time, Bobby Gray is the one in trouble. Woman trouble. He thinks he is chasing the beautiful "Dr. Princess" to make an impression on a business associate, but when Dr. Kelli Palmer plays hard to get, and his charm is not enough to sway her, Bobby Gray finds his emotions are equalling his stubborness in getting what he wants. I love the way Kathy Carmichael brings characters to life. They are well developed, attractive, intelligent and a lot of fun. The reader loves to be included and wants to stay around them. You never know what will happen next. Both Kelli and Bobby Gray are fiercely loyal to their families. Both are strong and intelligent. Formidable opponents. And the electricity when they get close to each other! Kick off your boots and get comfortable. Kathy Carmichael is going to take you for a wild ride.

First of all, do not let the four-star rating disturb you. There is not a thing wrong with this fun and engaging "clean romance." Kathy has written a fantastic, easy-to-read, fast-paced book, and the only thing I can even criticize is that is predictable. And to be honest, I don't see this as a problem. I have not read any other books in the series, and I had no trouble following the storyline. The characters are well-developed, and to be honest, this would make a great Hallmark film. In fact, this could be described as a Hallmark film in book form. However, unlike a movie, the reader can use his/her imagination, and of course, the story doesn't have the same pitfalls as a film might. I really have nothing else to say about this delightful book except that if you wish to escape for an hour or two into the world of sweet romance with a handsome cowboy and two beautiful but sometimes perplexing sisters, this is the book to choose. I had no trouble reading it in one evening, and I never found myself bored. And if I don't miss my guess, Kathy has quite a series going, and I can hardly wait to read more about these wonderful characters and their unique stories. I was sent a copy of this book in exchange for my honest review. I was not financially compensated, and all opinions are 100 percent mine.

Will blood ties is stronger than your feelings for somebody? Kelli is willing to sacrifice her feelings towards Bobby Gray Nelson because of her sister Lori. This girl always prioritize somebody or anything first than herself. Will this time she prefers her feelings than her own blood ties? This is my second book that I read and reviewed from the author Ms.Kathy Carmichael. This book is so adorable. It is cute and very funny too especially the animals that Bobby Gray Nelson tried to bring to the vet's clinic so he can see the veterinarian that his hearts only wants a cure better than animals. If you love cowboy an animals, am sure you will love reading this book as well. I like Kelli because she is very down to earth. There are times that I want to smack her and follow her heart. Lori, her sister is a crazy. She thinks all men wants her. You can relate to the story if you have many sisters. They just want to protect their sister's heart from drama and heartache. Disclosure: I received the electronic copy of the book to review. All my thoughts and opinions are 100% honestly mine.

I enjoyed this one so much I read it twice! Country Courtship is a cute book. It's a light and easy read that made me smile and laugh. There's a touching scene where Kelli and Bobby Gray help bring a foal into the world, and a hilarious scene where he gets chomped by a snapping turtle. Mostly, it's the story of a girl fighting her attraction to a handsome and charming man out of devotion to her sister. A sister who is largely absent from the action in the story, but whose feelings are important to Kelli.

This is one of those lighthearted romances that will have you sighing and laughing and possibly even shaking your head in agreement--but for certain you may not be able to put it down until the last page-I know I read this one from cover to cover. Family dynamics and jealousy between otherwise loving sisters is at the crux of this romantic comedy. Kelli's younger sister is absolutely exasperated-every guy she dates really wants to be with Kelli-her beloved older sister. Can't blame her really who wants to be dated so they can be shafted for someone else especially an older sister. Poor Kelli has nothing to do with this and feels horrible! So when Kelli's sister asks a old friend to escort her to a family gathering--and said friend ends up talking with Kelli--sparks fly between the sisters. Problem is the sparks are flying between Kelli and Bobby. What is a girl to do when she has to chose between family and her heart. You will have to read this book to find out.

This is the first book I have read by this author & I absolutely adored it! I will certainly be checking out her others. Kelli is one of six sisters a veterinarian & family orientated .. she would never do anything to upset/hurt them .. that is until Bobby Gray enters her life. He is the typical cowboy .. so macho, gorgeous & full of determination. Kelli believes her sister Lori is interested in Bobby Gray so she remains aloof to his advances, consequently the antics he gets up to in order to attract her attention are very entertaining .. I was giggling out loud at times! The inclusion of plenty of animals with a cuteness factor appealed to me. All the characters with possibly the exception of Monty Joe (Bobby’s brother) are likeable & it’s very easy to be absorbed into the story. If you like a sweet romance then this is for you, not too long & a very pleasant way to spend an afternoon. Kelli's younger sister Lori is always upset with Kelli for stealing her boyfriends, even if Kelli doesn't encourage them and never dates them. So Kelli has a rule to never date anyone Lori has ever talked to. Lori invites Bobby Gray Nelson to her family's party in order to have a date, and Bobby Gray and Kelli meet. There's an instant attraction, but Kelli calls security on Bobby Gray because he won't take no for an answer. Bobby Gray finds a variety of sick animals and reasons to keep meeting Kelli, but will it be enough to make her fall for this rancher? Being a Southern Belle myself, these books are fun to read! There are some differences between Texas and Tennessee but ultimately, it reminds me a bit of the place I live and love in. Persistent as all get out, Bobby Gray sets out on a mission for Lori's sister, Kelli. Kelli and Lori are at odds over the fact that it seems like Kelli steals Lori's boyfriends. I found this quite amusing as I don't have sisters so I don't do the petty fighting and drama. I think it really showed Lori's lack of confidence and I was practically jumping out of my chair when Kelli finally takes a chance on something she wants - regardless of what it'll do to her sister. Just when she takes a risk, Kelli feels like she's been deceived and wronged after dinner with Bobby Gray and his family. I'm not sure I would have take a second shot at love like Kelli did but it proves the strength of her character and her willingness to put some roots down. I was in dire need of a short read that could hold my attention and this was exactly that. There really was only one part of this book that I didn’t like and that was that I knew what was going to happen at dinner. I didn’t know all the details, but when a man has a hidden agenda, it will be found out. Kelli’s sister, Lisa, needs a swift kick in the rear over her pettiness, but I’m glad that Kelli followed her heart instead of her head. As she said, you just never know. Bobby Gray initially came off a little cocky and sure of himself, but he was a gentleman at all times. And a cowboy none the less! I definitely fell head over heels for him! I would take him and his ‘posse’ any day! This really is a quick read that will have you grinning!

Country Courtship is a short story involving a big-hearted vet and a bit cocky rodeo star. Kelli Palmer met Bobby Gray Nelson in a family event, but it seemed that Lori, Kelli's younger sister, had claimed Bobby. Since Kelli didn't want to upset Lori anymore, she stayed away from him. But Bobby could not go away from her which made it harder for Kelli to not make Lori angry. But as the time went, Bobby became more persistent to ask for her. Can Bobby convince Kelli that he was not dating Lori? The book is quite well-written but I'm a bit annoyed with the hero. Despite knowing her past, he still had intention to bring her to meet a banker because of her blue-blood heritage. It was upsetting even though he had reasons for it. Overall, this book had a potential and it was worth a try. I received this book to review through Beck Valley Books Book Tours, all the opinions above are 100% my own.

ountry Courtship is a book in The Texas Two Step series. I have previously read Chasing Charlie but do not think that it is necessary to read that or the novella The Lassoed Bride to enjoy this book. I have read all three and will read more from the series as they become available. I am an avid romance reader and cowboys do intrigue me. This series gives me both. Add to that the intelligence of many of the characters and I am ready to haul off to Texas and find myself my own cowboy. The chase between Bobby Gray and Kelli is another great romance and the basis of Country Courtship. Kelli is a good sister and will not take a man from her sister, even if her sister does not really want Bobby Gray. The continuing dance between Bobby Gray and Kelli to get past Kelli's hesitancy is a work of art. The fact that Kelli's sister basically disappears on a trip as a flight attendant does not help Bobby Gray get in Kelli's good graces at all. How the two end this tango makes the book a great read!

I knew I would enjoy this book, simply because the previous book that I have read by Ms. Carmichael, and the first book in this series - Chasing Charlie, was such a great book! It was one of those books when I started it, and did NOT put it down until I was done with it. Country Courtship was the exact same way. It was a fabulous book. The book contained a lot of funny moments, along with some awesome old fashioned romantic ones, that just kind of made me swoon :) Bobby is a hard headed male, who has fallen in love with Kellie and will NOT give up on trying to win over her heart. I wanted to reach in and yell at him.. SHE IS NOT INTERESTED, but of course, I can't do that! Overall, if you love a good chase for love, you will really enjoy Country Courtship, I think.

I fell in love with the characters almost immediately. Kelli is one of my favorite characters because of her personality, and the fact that she plays hard to get with Bobby Gray is hilarious! Bobby Gray will not give up, no matter what, to win the heart of the woman he has fallen in love with. Kelli's mother is party of the royal line, which makes Kelli somewhat royal blood. Of course, this doesn't phase Bobby Gray other than nicknaming her Dr. Princess, because she's a veterinarian. Kathy Carmichael is a great story-teller. Each sentence draws you in and makes you want to read more without stopping. From the details of the looks and the in-depth description of each moment as they happen will make the images come to life almost immediately. I love to lose myself in a good book, and this book allowed me to do just that. If you love the story of a good chase for love, you will fall in LOVE with Country Courtship. Each character has their own personality that will allow you to picture them just for who they are, and Kelli is described very similar to the girl in the photo. There's nothing better than a good story being able to describe everything in detail the way this one did. I look forward to reading the rest of the series in The Texas Two Step, especially since they do not exactly go in order. Great work to Kathy Carmichael, I look forward to seeing more of your work in the future! Disclaimer: I received this online book for free as compensation for an honest review. All opinions are my own.

When Lori needed an escort for her family’s annual 4th of July celebration, she turns to an old beau, Bobby Gray Nelson. Knowing that this wasn’t a date, but more of a friend-helping-a-friend transaction, plus needing to escape his brother’s wraith, he readily agrees. But when he meets Lori’s sister Kelly, sparks fly. And to make matters worse, Lori is feuding with Kelly about always stealing her boyfriends. How can Bobby Gray convince Kelly that he is not Lori’s boyfriend, so that she will give him a chance? Boy, did Bobby Gray and Kelly have some big obstacles to overcome. It’s always a problem when family and love collide. I’m glad both of them finally got enough courage to stand up for themselves. I loved the Nelson brothers when they were introduced in Chasing Charlie, and knew they’d be fun characters for new stories.

I usually like fairly mindless romances, but this one is over the top. It is so far fetched it's silly. Like the guy leading a horse into the vet's office, not once but twice. Everyone is a millionaire in TX, even though they are in their 20s. Really? Then why do they need to meet with a banker to get financing? The story doesn't remotely resemble anything feasible. Waste of time and money on this one.
