Country Fried Sci-Fi

Put up your feet and crack open a cold one. This is science fiction that puts in its eight hours and isn't afraid to get a little dirty while its at it.
Astronauts and scientists may be the first ones out in space, but the guys with tool belts and fiddles are the ones who'll make it livable. Square dancing in zero-gee may just save humanity's ass in Grand Ol' Space Opry.
Two down-on-their-luck cowboys wind up going back in time to round up a T-Rex for Buffalo Bill's Wild West Show in The Great Dinosaur Roundup of 1903. Their ponies are fast, their lassos are loose and there's still a swig or two in the whiskey bottle--what chance does a Cretaceous critter have?
It's the worst coal mining disaster the East Kentucky town of Mandolin has ever seen. They say only miners and dead men go into the ground. Some of those dead men might have something to say about that in Mandolin Wind.
Three rousing stories about folks with more guts and heart than good sense, all written by a woman who's worked factory lines and flipped burgers, but whose imagination has always kept her free.
