Reviewed by Natasha Jackson for Readers' Favorite Tyler Moore is a handsome, middle-aged man, soon to be twice-divorced. He is facing the reality of aging and a struggling business, but none of that seems to matter when former flame and successful romance novelist Monique Delome reappears in his life. In Cover to Covers, the control freak in Tyler struggles with all the things in his life that are not in his control, particularly the re-emergence of his feelings for Monique. Unfortunately, Monique has been burned before and reserves her romance for the pages of her latest bestseller. As much as she proclaims that she doesn’t believe in the reality of love, all of Monique’s male characters bear a striking resemblance to Tyler, something he finds out in the aisles of a romance writers’ convention. I have to say that it took me most of Cover to Covers to stop disliking Ty so much. He wears a special brand of cool, detached arrogance that was quite off-putting, but I reserved judgment because the man he was in his twenties had to be slightly more human than this middle-aged version of him…right? But Alexandrea Weis did a good job of making him SO arrogant because Mo was equally independent and strong, therefore not willing to fall all over herself for a moment in the presence of his greatness. The connection between Ty and Mo was great! She shouldn't want him, really, but she still can’t help it and sometimes you just have to kick good sense to the kerb in favor of a chance at the happily ever after she writes about. Cover to Covers is an authentic second-chance romance with no misty-eyed heroine prepared to quickly forgive the unforgivable. Mo is a strong woman who knows her worth, even if she is a secret softy on the inside. Alexandrea Weis has created unique characters with a lot of depth and experience, giving this story a freshness not often found in the genre.

Reviewed by Brittani for the Sinful thoughts book blog Extraordinary well-written novel all about second chances, Tyler Moore is the CEO of Propel Oil Company and Monique Delome is a famous romance writer, who get a second chance at love when they meet again at the Ritz Carlton 21 years later where Ty is Suppose to be meeting a client there, and Moe is supposed to be there for a romance book convention going on near the hotel. Now let me start off by saying that I felt like Tyler and Moe were more in their early thirties than their forties and fifties, Tyler who just felt at least to me, like a young bachelor not ever looking to settle down just flirting and sleeping with as many woman as he can , never mind that he’s been married and divorced twice, And Moe has also been married and divorced. Tyler and Moe are each other’s First love but when Moe’s mother becomes ill she moves back to new Orleans and Tyler just let’s her go and doesn’t look back even though she was his first true love. This story is about the ups and downs Tyler faces trying to win he back 21 years later the story is written his in his P.O.V. and I liked that, we could read the struggles he goes through to be with the woman he wants and the choices he think he has to make like run the company he’s worked his whole life for, or be with the woman he’s always wanted and a few more other obstacles along the way. I have to say I enjoyed this book a lot!! It was a fast read, I think I got through it within 3 hours on a lazy Sunday afternoon, It had every thing I love in a book, two sexy characters, a beautiful love story, and a hint a sexy with steamy scenes written in the book that made me blush and fan my cheeks, all in all I would give this book 6 stars if I could, but a 5 will have to do, And I will most definitely read more novels by

Second chance at love:  COVER TO COVERS is a romantic, contemporary, erotic  storyline that focuses on Propel Oil CEO Tyler Moore and romance author Monique Delome. With a prior history twenty years earlier, Cover to Covers is a second chance storyline that requires a third shot at love. An accidental meeting in Dallas will find the former college sweethearts face to face for the first time in two decades and the attraction is just as powerful as before. The storyline follows Tyler as he endeavors to rekindle the romance that he once had with the one that got away. Twice divorced, Tyler’s history as a womanizer has left a bad impression on Monique but Monique has put her knowledge of Tyler to good use and Tyler is about to find out just what type of leading man he can truly be. The relationship between our leading couple is erotic and sensual. Tyler’s reputation with the ladies precedes his appearance and Monique is willing to put the past aside for a second chance at love. But Tyler ran before and when things get tough, Tyler will run again. The world building pulls the reader into the sights and sounds of New Orleans and, everything it has to offer.   The characters are diverse; their backgrounds are the building blocks of the story whereupon Weis establishes her introductory premise. There is one particular aspect of the storyline that did bother me, especially in this age of STDs and AIDs.  The amount of unprotected sex by our hero never called into question the use of condoms or contraceptives.  This, to me, is questionable in a storyline, regardless of the age of the characters. Both in their forties, with Tyler’s very active and current sex life, I would have thought Monique would have demanded condoms but it was only ever mentioned once in passing-after- several orgasms and nights together. COVER TO COVERS is a story of heartbreak and betrayal; forgiveness and letting go; and two people who have loved one another for over twenty years.  Alexandrea Weis writes a romantic storyline about the people and places she knows in New Orleans with a dash of smexy on the side. 'I received a free copy of this book in exchange for an honest review' Tyler is CEO of an oil company. He is also going through his second divorce. He knows why none of his relationships don't work out. He just doesn't want to admit it to himself. He knows it's because none of these women are Mo. The one who got away. Tyler stays at the local hotel when he has business meetings. When Tyler goes to the hotel bar to meet a client he gets a text that the client will not make it that night as he is looking around the bar he sees someone familiar. It is none other than Mo. He can't believe she is there. Not only is Mo there but so is his soon to be ex wife. As a way to try to forget the feelings that Mo makes him feel he takes his ex to bed to try to forget her. It doesn't work. Monique is a Romance Author. She never got over her old flame Tyler. Anyone who reads her books can see that as all of her leading men all resemble him in one way or another. She couldn't believe it when she seen Tyler at the hotel. Tyler pursues her and she finally gives in to see what they may have. During their newfound relationship the tone of her next book changes into something with more of an edge. Her manager does not like it and blames Tyler telling him he is ruining her career. Tyler is already getting scared of his feelings and leaves. Tyler finally realizes that he needs to be with Mo but when he tries to rekindle what they had he finds that she has moved on. Will Tyler give up or fight for Mo? Has Mo really moved on or is there more going on? Will they eventually get back together? I LOVED this book. I loved Monique and Tyler's characters. I thought that Tyler was an emotional wreck of a man with a lot to work through and that Mo was the perfect woman for him. This is definitely a must read for romance junkies. Cover to Covers is an emotional read that has you falling in love with the characters. I highly recommend reading. 'Read and Reviewed by LSK Sweetheart Reviews'

One of Alexandrea's best. I loved this book, it's a must read. Tyler Moore is a man of wealth, power, and respect at least among his business associates – the women in his life might wholly disagree – but he’s missing the one thing that would complete his life. He’s missing the woman that he let get away some twenty years earlier and never pursued – until now. When Tyler comes face to face with Monique Delome, the woman from his past that he was never able to seduce but was also never able to forget, he sets out to discover the answer to a question he’s been asking himself for the past twenty-one years. What if she hadn’t left him or he’d gone after her? He even goes so far as to read five of her books and discover that he is the hero in all of them. When he confronts her with this, she tells him that he’s the only man who could wrap a woman around his finger. He's the only man who always got everything he wanted from every woman he ever met. But, the real reason was because when her marriage went sour and when she escaped into her imagination, he was there. Tyler follows Monique, or rather Moe, as he calls her, to New Orleans. There, he attempts to make her think about the, what if, possibilities that he hopes may exist between them. He tolerates a lot to make his point, including the hostile interruptions from her manager, Chris Donovan, and even her little ugly dog, Bart. But Moe isn’t easily swayed by his charms, in or out of bed, and soon he begins to feel that it’s his heart that is going to be broken in the end. COVER TO COVERS by Alexandrea Weis is an amazing journey through a second chance romance between two mature characters, who carry a past not filled with memories of sexual experiences, but one of respect and heartache caused by regret. What makes this romance so exceptional, and bound to be one of this year’s favorites for me, is that it is written completely in Tyler’s point of view. Yes, we are treated to experiencing this romance experience from a man’s point of view, through his insecurities, fears, and heartbreak. It is fabulous. Oh, and the best line ever is on the cover - I would rather fail a thousand times with you than never take the chance. *sigh* I highly, highly recommend COVER TO COVERS by Alexandrea Weis to anyone, and I mean anyone, who truly enjoys a second chance romance that will keep you glued to the pages. A story that will have you opening your heart to Tyler and wishing you could bring him home to heal his heart and make him forget Moe, especially when it appears she isn’t going to accept him for the man he is, and for how much he loves her.***eCopy provided by author in exchange for an honest and unscripted review.

It surprises me how much I enjoyed this book when I really did not like Tyler, At. All. until most of the way through the book.  I am a sucker for second change love stories, but this is the first one I have read where they really broke up because one was a complete jerk.  Not that he made a mistake or life got in the way.  He was a jerk.  Yes, there were reasons for it, but from everything we read through the first half of the book, he remained said jerk.  Mo is a writer and one who clearly never got over Ty since he stars in all her books in some form or another.  At first I could not really decide if I thought she was really strong or really weak because she did that.  It added an interesting element to the story.   What made these characters extra appealing to me is that they are not 20 somethings. They originally became the “one that got away” in their twenties, but the story is told 21 years later making them *gasp*my age.  It was refreshing.  I also enjoyed the honesty about the challenges they would really face in this situation.  It was not a “We see each other again and life is beautiful” story.  It is an emotionally packed story where I was not always sure if they would get their HEA or not.  This is the first book I have read by this author, but it will not be the last.  Anyone who can have me glued to my kindle cheering for someone I dislike for most of the book is an author worth reading.

Cover to Covers is a poignant and beautiful message that proclaims that a life worth living is one that is filled with boundless joy and complete fulfillment. We needlessly make ourselves suffer when we stubbornly hold onto our fears of control, of commitment, and of abandonment instead of choosing to let them go. If we desire to live a happy, full, and complete life, we need to find the courage and the determination to give up those fears and walk forward into the unknown. No one can predict the future, so let the hold on your heart go and allow it to do what it does best – love fiercely and with reckless abandon. The rewards from that decision will have more positive far reaching effects then you can ever imagine. Tyler Moore is a man who would appear to have it all with his money, power, and women, but instead he finds himself empty and longing for something more. Just as he tries to figure out what that more is, he finds himself looking right into her eyes. Monique Delome is the only woman the Tyler regrets letting go of. She is the only person who ever saw him for who he was and loved him in spite of it. While he let her slip through his fingers once, he is determined not to let it happen again. Monique’s heart was torn apart by Tyler once, and she refuses to allow him to do it a second time. However, no matter how hard we may try, no one can deny what the heart wants. Have they wasted their last shot at living a complete and happy life, or is this just a dramatic pause in their own love story? Can Tyler give up his precious control in order to open his heart fearlessly to Monique, or will Monique’s sensibilities push him away in order to finally begin picking up the pieces of her broken heart? I was blown away by this amazing story. It plunged deep into my heart and went right to the core. Punches were not pulled and important issues were not danced around. You dove into the deep end of this pool from the very beginning and were forced to face the unresolved issues of these exquisite characters. My heart broke for them as I watched their joy at being reunited fragment and slowly fade away against the rough and painful walls that had been built around their hearts. Their journey to love was filled with painful revelations and hostile roadblocks that were miraculously offset by their tender and unrelenting love. The amazing characters felt so real and true to life that I could easily imagine seeing them in my neighborhood. Real-life issues were fought and dealt with in the pages of this book, and that’s what endeared it to me the most. While I love reading fantasy stories, it is the real-life stories that stay with me over the years. I couldn’t help but fall in love with Tyler and Monique, and I found myself holding my breath to see how it would all end. Alexandrea Weis has really impressed me with how tenderly yet objectively she dealt with the heavy handed issues in this story. A story like this is not easy, but she made it possible in a very real way. She spoke truth and life into the dying hearts of two broken and hurting people and found a way to bring hope into the darkness and love into the despair. There is plenty of adult content in this book, but it came across in a very realistic and honest way. It was touching and yet decent. I enjoyed the refreshing honesty and the genuine heart that I found in this story, and I hope to read more by this author if the rest of her stories are anything like this one.

My review: Cover to Covers is the first book by Alexandrea Weis which I read and I truly enjoyed it! It was a quick read which was well-written, which had a decent plot and captivating characters. You meet Monique and Tyler who have a common past. Today, Monique is pursuing a carrier as an author and Tyler is a CEO of a petroleum company. Monique has been hurt, because love hurts and therefore she thinks that is it safer to put all her love into her writing.. and she does it successfully. The day she has a book signing event in Texas, Tyler shows up The intriguing fact in Monique's books is, that the male leads always seem to be similar to Tyler. Are they? Does Monique write about her time with Tyler? Is Monique capable of showing the great love showed in her books also in the real world? Cover to Covers is lovable for many reasons. First, I loved Tyler's point of view. It was interesting to read and experience a man's emotions, thoughts, feelings. And the author did a great work with Tyler's voice in my opinion. Second, I loved the plot. The whole idea of an author putting the man of her life into her books is intriguing. Also, the small twists and turns in the story were well placed. Third, I had some troubles with understanding Monique in the beginning, because she did Express her thoughts and what she wanted as clearly as I wanted. But she grew on me. Strongly. And that I see as a good character development. Fourth, I loved to read a book about people who are not in their twenties. Both of the main characters were already mature individuals and you don't see many books around which deal with mature love. It takes courage to write about that and I admire AlexandreaWeis for doing it. Read it! I will definitely read more of Alexandrea's books!

Tyler Moore is the CEO of a major Petroleum company & womanizer. Monique Delome the one that got away is a writer. They both dated back in college and for one reasons or another they went their separate ways. She writes romance novels that are based on her time being with Tyler. One day while on a book signing in Texas Monique happens to run into Tyler. Can they rekindle their love? Can she knock the walls down on Tyler?  I really love this story, the love that the two lead characters had for each other, the heartbreak and everything in between. What I like the most was reading it in the guy’s point of view you never really hear the man’s feelings. How he hurt for what he did to the one and only love of his life how much he regret it & how he discovers what his problem is and why he can't just admit to himself why he can't stay from her, that brought me more into the story. After all those years that went by she still felt the same for him and a love like that never goes away, Never. Overall very good story.
