Overview

His rough touch makes her lose control...

In Sundance, Wyoming, you can’t throw a boot without hitting a McKay cowboy, so Ben McKay is used to fading into the background. Except at The Rawhide Club, he’s known as Bennett, an imposing Dom surrounded by female subs eager for the attention of his long…whip.

Ainsley Hamilton is amazed by how well Bennett read her every secret yearning—and she's stunned when they come face to face in Sundance. Now Ben’s urging her to explore her submissive side outside the club, and there’s something in his commanding gaze that makes it too easy to let him take the reins—of her fantasies and her pleasure.

Can Ben help Ainsley overcome her fear that a relationship built on dark sexual appetites won’t survive the light of day?

Warning: This book contains a lot of kinky sex. No, seriously, there's A LOT of kinky cowboy sex in this Rough Riders installment. You've been warned.

Editorial Reviews

From the Publisher

“A love story steeped in kinkiness, Cowboy Casanova is a story of discovery and domination—the lure of Bennett and Ainsley and the love that would not be beaten…With the gradual submission of Ainsley and the true Dom of Bennett…both learn to explore hidden desires, despite their fears and anxieties. A cowboy story with more whips and chains than a hardware store, the latest “Rough Riders” tale is sure to please series fans.”

—Library Journal

“Oh. My. God. Is it hot in here or is it just me? You’ll know exactly what I mean once you get immersed in this sexy, hot, sweaty, erotic, down ‘n dirty ride, the latest in Lorelei James’ Rough Riders series. Ben McKay is a man you don’t mess with. Well, unless you want to be dominated. And like his heroine, Ainsley, I wouldn’t mind that one bit.”

—The Good, The Bad, and The Unread

“Things I loved about this book were Ben and Ainsley as a couple, the scenes with the family that reminded me why I love them all so much, the laugh out loud moments as well as the teary ones, LJ’s knowledge of the BDSM lifestyle with relation to the D/s relationship, the new characters we met, and always a favorite of mine—the panty blazing dirty-talk dialogue.”

—Guilty Pleasures Book Reviews

“If there ever was a fantasy man to make us desperate housewives and established career women faint from the vapors, it is this particular hero. The reason I love Bennett is because he is the epitome of a Gentleman. He does not kiss and tell. He keeps his private life fiercely private. And he is unapologetic for what he wants and needs.”

—Seductive Musings

“The heat contained in this story, it was off the charts. The BDSM club scenes were vivid and displayed in exacting detail that left me breathless. The sex between Ainsley and Bennett was intensely erotic with detailed accounts of the characters’ emotions and senses described in graphic detail that sent shivers up my spine…Ms. James can write erotica that will leave even the most seasoned reader blushing.”

Not the best of the series. But an additiona book to add to the series shelf. I liked Ben...not so much Ainsly. One reason i love this series so much is because the additinal of the McKay family story line. But this book just didnt have that. I liked it. But i didnt fall in love with it like the other books in the series. Book 3 is still my favorite.!!! That hasnt changed yet.

I never thought I would find a Dom in the true sense attractive but boy oh boy did Bennett prove me wrong. Once again Lorelei's characters are so real. You know there must be a club just like this out there and a McKay man that knows his way around a whip!

I absolutely LOVE and trust everything Lorelei puts out. Her writing styles from her western/cowboy to her fighter/mma is remarkably different. However, amazing at the same time. It takes a brilliant writer to be so diverse in her styles.

Now this cowboy is something else. I'm trying to figure out in he commanded me, will I do his biding too? Some things are better left behind closed doors, don't you think?...I thought so. Now I can say that I'm surprised Ben opened up to his family...even a little bit...but I'm happy for him. What I really like about this books is that they reflect what might really be happening to people with this same problems. But Bennett in particular. It might be something dirty is one of the parts was not into it. But for me I think if it gets you of and your partner enjoys it...well I'm happy for you. Now I know the position this put Ainsley on and I understand her point. But again I applaud Ben for realizing what was really important to him and taking action to rectify it.

Lorelei James is a very consistent writer. Her books are entertaining and well written. You always get more than you expect with her books. If you haven't read anything by this author you really should! She is by far one of the best out there.

Bennett "Ben" McKay fades into the background surrounding all of the other McKays in Sundance. The only time the real Ben appears is when he's Bennett the Dom at The Rawhide Club in Gillette. There he can please not only himself but a bevy of ladies vie for his attention. Ainsley "Angel" Hamilton is a newly appointed bank president who wants to explore the world of BDSM. So she pretends that she's a Domme with the help of her best friend Layla. Little does Ainsley know that she's about to get a real education courtesy of Bennett. Ainsley as Angel agrees to switch with Bennett and finds that she's more than attracted to the handsome Dom. When both Ainsley and Ben meet up in real life discovers that sparks fly even more. Ben asks Ainsley to be his Sub for one month so she find out if she's cut out for BDSM lifestyle. Meanwhile Tell and Dalton McKay come to Ben with an idea to get more land for their ranching operation from Rielle Wertzler. Ben agrees with the plan to approach Rielle being that she's his neighbor. When Ben learns how far in debt Rielle really is he's stunned but doesn't have enough readily available cash. Ben knows he can't go to The McKay family bank Settler's First because Tell and Dalton want to keep their business a secret from the rest of the family. Only problem is Ben needs to apply for a loan at Ainsley's bank. Ainsley tells Ben that if she agrees to give Ben a loan thru her bank their relationship will end alot sooner. Will Ainsley or Ben admit their real feelings for each other? Will Ben applying for a loan destroy what they could have? Will Tell and Dalton be happy with Ben? Your answers await you in Cowboy Casanova. I gotta admit Ben McKay happens to be another favorite McKay cowboy next to Cam McKay. I found Ben's attitude "a gentleman doesn't tell" to be refreshing and honest in more ways than one. Ben seems to seamlessly fade into the background where he can go unnoticed by everyone which is what makes him an exceptional Dom. Ainsley is right up their with Keely McKay as far as favorite women go in this series so far. Ainsley appears to be this straight laced woman on the outside but is really this sexual vixen waiting to get out. Together Ben and Ainsley are very much like Cam and Domini in many respects. They are really quiet and private people filled with such passion that just burns up the sheets and thensome. I'm definitely looking forward to my next adventure in Rough Riders Series.

The sex was hot but, over kill. The extra scenes were fluff and didn't hold much interest for me. I skimmed alot of pages. The ending didn't carry much punch either. S.A.K.
